Not sure what you mean here.  Our facilities, stadium, fan base, ownership, etc. are all top class. Whatever is wrong with the management and/or squad is isolated and surely can be remedied.

In terms of tactics, the commentators were pretty much echoing  what is being said here.  Everyone seems to see the problem but the coaching staff.  I recall SG having three long breaks, including this preseason,  where he had time to organize the team and each time we have looked worse after the breaks.

He must be absolute dire in training. Can't think why else he is not in the matchday squad. Chambers and Kosna can cover the RB position, so why do we need Young on the bench?

He'll be out at the World Cup break if we are not solidly challenging for top half.  Poch will be our new manager.

His love affair with McGinn, Coutinho, Young (on the bench instead of KKH or Sanson) is going to ultimately cost him.

Cant stand Gregg Evans and his piss poor analysis. Stopped listening to 1874 a long time back.  For Bardell's thoughts I go directly to The Villa View.

How much would we sell Kessler, Iroegbunam or Archer for? Probably less than 20M.  All three are more proven the Carney.  Good business.  

Dont think our issues have to do with the squad.

Same issues as always:  can't play out from the back,  can't keep possession, can't properly press and can't play through the middle. We'll basically scrap for mid-table spot due to the individual talent we have.  The team game is not there.

Massive Premier League fanbase across the Asia Pacific region - especially Manchester United and Liverpool fans.  Hard pressed to find Villa fans, thus I was quite impressed with the turnout in Gold Coast.

How do you police that? How do you stop that message from reaching the victim? Who is responsible for educating the idiot? Surely not the British government or Premier League?!

 Chambers-Carlos has been our best pairing in preseason.

Came to say the exact same thing.

We play so slow.  Under two different managers.  When will this change?

Last season we got zero points against Watford and only gained 4 out of 36 possible points  versus the ESL clubs.   If we just slightly improve here, we’ll easily be challenging for a top half or higher. 

Who the hell is going to pay him 100K a week?  Certainly not Dortmund or Barcelona. Even PSG and ManCity are not that crazy.

Havent seen anything that makes him stand out in the first two preseason matches.  I do feel a run of games is important for all players. I recall the likes of Angel and Petrov looking extremely ordinary during their first few months with the club. The problem with Sanson is that when the run of games was available to him, he was injured. 1.5 years in, it might be too late to give him a proper chance. 

At least in preseason all our "new" signings have performed well -  Coutinho, Kamara, Carlos and Olsen. Digne  look to be the real deal, so if we can just get last years'  cohort of Bailey, Ings and Buendia firing, we'll have had a really great transfer market record from our last three windows.
