Didn't Steve Jobs say that if you asked users what they want in a mobile phone you would not have come-up with the iPhone. Feel too much consultation can backfire.

Hardly played out of the back yesterday. We lose so much possession as a result of punting so many balls upfield.

The win just delays the inevitable. We are going nowhere with this guy.

Coutinho and Bailey bright spots, but team is rudderless.

If we lose today, he needs to be 100% out. His team selection is ridiculous given who has performed and who has not.

Would look class on the back of the shirt where we usually have the lion.
Gas lamp with 1874 underneath
yeah - I dont get having the lion on the crest and also on the back of the shirt.

Again, that cause me more confusion. His wages are not that big and he played regular football last season. Why couldn't he get a loan. If we can sell Trez and ElGhazi and get Traore, Davis and Hause out on loan, what the f**k is wrong with Fred
Maybe there is some appearance/loyalty bonus in his contract he is not willing to waive or something like that.

wonder why the team benches are not on the Witton Lane side. The trend these days is to have the LED board fully wrap around the side facing the camera.

Marvel at how informed Ornstein is. Not just that clip but most of his takes.

We either need a homerun hire or someone to steady the ship - Pirlo is neither.

Name it the Champions Stand and drop the star on the crest.

In modern football there is high coaching turnover. Players need new voices and clubs need to refresh. Think that is part of the issue with Rogers at Leicester - compounded with a lack of investment after lots of key departures in the summer.

Just saw the Maxwell Cornet VAR and was reminded that like Traore he was also a Lyon castoff. Burnley sold him for 17m to West Ham after he scored 9 goals last season. I believe Berti scored 7 goals and had 6 assists for us 2 seasons back, yet the best we could do is loan him to A Turkish club.

If you gave me the list of our transfers back in May 2022 I would have said "Very good". Today, I'm feeling it is average.

McGinn is not a decent player
Think he can be if we pushed him up a bit like when he is with Scotland.

We've been in the relegation places for 12 hours. The all over the place strategy has been here for longer than that.
Basically the club gave the keys of the Ferrari (errr Honda) to Gerrard.

Doesn't seem to be much of a strategy to what we are doing.
Bit like opportunistic scavengers picking up the weak and unwanted from the clubs around us. A old lion with no teeth.
When you’re in the relegation places and Premier League survival is critical (unlike say a Norwich or Fulham), strategy goes out the window. We’d be in a much different place if we were mid-table right now.

we are in a shit situation with Doug…
will he sign a a new contract? If not, we have to sell… as late as that is, we can’t let him go for free
Why not? Players playing out their contracts is not that unusual these days. See Kamara as an example.

I think we're in danger of going down even if we keep Luiz.
We have a squad of individuals that needs freshening up in key areas, and we are usually shite at bringing in players at the end of the window.
As much as Gerrard needs removing, I think Lange needs to be heavily scruitinised for the shambles that has been this summer.
Said it in another thread - think Lange might just be a yes man for Purslow.
-
We are in a death spiral, aren't we? Our poor form will not attract any decent players and our decent players who Gerrard refuses to play want out.
-
Can't blame Luiz if he wants out. The World Cup is coming up and he is on the bench for a struggling side.
-
Feel he has generally done a good job but has gotten two major things wrong. Panic buying Danny Ings, and possibly Bailey, when selling Grealish without a clear plan on how they would fit our system. Appointing Gerrard who plays a system completely different than the one our squad and youth setup was geared for. Basically he interfered in areas that should be left to the sporting director. Makes me think Lange is fairly weak.

Didn’t he change to the 3-5-2 after a poor run of results?
