Back on to Keinan, the Forest fans are raving about him. One saying that they want to use the sell on money they get from Cash to Athletico Madrid in the summer to buy Davis for 10 mil. They love him. He bullies defenders and transforms their attack.
If they get promoted we need to ask for 20M minimum.

If he can score another 8-10 goals in his remaining games at Forest he'll have comparable stats to that of Rian Brewster at Swansea (11 goals/22 games) who ultimately sold for 24M.

Could he play in the same lineup as Watkins or Ings?

Which is correct. The dirtiest of dirty money in a world full of dirty money.
Define dirty. The money itself is from the vast oil reserves they sit on top of and not from drugs, money laundering, illegal mining, no-bid contracts, etc. Dr. Tony's money was probably much more "dirty".

Indeed looks like a preseason 2.0. Hopefully they team will have honed in on some of SGs new tactics.

I think we shouldn't get carried away though, I remember people wanting Barkley at £40m last season before his form plummeted.
Agree. During Project Restart everyone was fawning over Douglas Luiz and saying we need to pay Man City whatever it takes to get rid of the buy back clause. Lots of other examples. No need to rush into anything if we do not have to.
-
Dont get this. Thought we got Olsen so Steer could be 3rd choice and Sinisalo could go out on loan.

We are not in a position to stockpile and speculate on players like City and Chelsea. We signed Ings and Bailey during the time we were linked with him. If he goes on to be a world class player then it's our bad luck, not incompetence.

Those that follow Juve and Serie A for the most part say that he is not an out and out number 6. Either Gerrard is not so fixed on a "destroyer" midfielder like all of us are or this is more an improvement on Luiz and Sanson.
-
Between all his injuries, the emergence of Ramsey and Douglas Luiz not being recalled by Manchester City - nothing has aligned for him.

That's because Traore isn't the shiny new toy anymore. He was bought a lifetime ago don't you know.
Fans want players that are consistent. The likes of Traore, El Ghazi, etc. switch off too often and become a liability despite some of their top class skills.

Think we have the players to challenge for European spots and be competitive against the top 3-4 sides. Now just need to get a tune out of them - like Tuchel did with Chelsea after Lampard and Conte with Spurs after Nuno. You can't just keep buying players the moment someone's form dips.

Concerned this is not much of an improvement on what Douglas Luiz offers us now. Bentancur might have been off-the-charts a few years back, but so was Luiz during Project Restart when we were all concerned that Man City would recall him. Having said that - there are many examples of players not finding or losing their tune at one club and flourishing elsewhere. Lucas Paqueta formerly of AC Milan and currently at Lyon comes to mind.

I would say its best to just take 1 game at a time.
The team should take it one game at a time. Fans can dream - it's what makes supporting a football club so interesting.

He has some great games but a lot of average ones too. Certainly would not classify him as a "player you build your team around".

Can't wait for next season. With momentum, we'll be a tough team to stop. I think we're starting to eclipse that MON team.
Will be very disappointing if we don't get above 60 points next season and a cup run.

These next 5 matches will define our season and determine if we're going to legitimately be challenging for Europe or settling for mid table again.
- Leeds
- Newcastle away
- Watford
- Brighton away
- Southampton
Get 12 points out of those 5 matches and we can start dreaming of Europe.

Was really poor. Ings starts next match.

Second half was the worst one we had since SG took over. Watkins and Mings extra poor. McGinn missing. Some good interplay between Buendia, Ramsey and Coutinho in the first half, but not much else to be excited about. Still have a long way to go to be a dangerous side.
-
Feels like we are in preseason - i.e. players still learning to play with each other.
-
Could careless about Everton. If we want to be a European level team, have to win these types of matches.

If we make the new North Stand with filled on corners and a capacity of 17.5k, with the option of the lower being set up to be easily converted to safe standing giving us a possible 55k ground capacity.
Then the long term view is that safe standing becomes the accepted norm over the next year or two and we redo the Holte into a huge all standing single tier to take us over 60k and scare the living bejesus out of away teams and properly suck the ball into the net when in full cry. We want our proper Holte End back!! The greatest end in world football.
Think safe standing have to be 1-1 with seats, so it won't add capacity.

Think the benefits to Villa will be marginal - just some opportunities to loan players or sign older players who can finish-out their careers in MLS. Doubt we will see an uptick in AVFC fans - not like half of Birmingham started supporting the Cleveland Brows or Bucks due to Lerner and Edens. Really hope the club has a unique identity and does not piggyback on the Villa name. They will actually lose fans that way as most soccer fans in LV probably already support another club outside of the USA.

Also shows that there is a bit of a gap between a player that is 20 and those that are still teenagers. Maybe we are expecting too much too soon from the likes of Barry, Young, etc.
