Great to read the report. Also put this on the main forum thread, but found out last night we could watch the Arsenal and Liverploop reserves via their TV channels as a result of our Setanta sub. on Sky. Arsenal then went on to say they are covering the Villa game, so we're hoping it wasn't a fluke and - if it wasn't the game might be available for some to watch depending on your TV packages if like myself and my partner, going to a reserves game isn't possible. So, if we can finally nail this title down as well, it might be the final against Liverploop is available as well via their TV station. :?:

I said anywhere around 9th and 7th, most likely 8th before the start of the season. Its tighter than a ducks arse in the 4th to 9th place at the moment, so its likely that we're still going to head for around 8th place unless we are very lucky indeed and manage a fantastic run in at the end. Its not so much for me what might have been, as another year of great progress. Europe would just be a bonus on top and one I would take more than happily. Next year I would expect it!

I voted number one, simply because I felt that the 3rd (my preferred choice in some ways) could easily become outdated!

Great read - always good to have something from someone at the game rather than the more dreary OS information! Nice to know we managed to get the win as well.

Great to see the comparisons back

JC and joost1 - I know this is the generals thread, but thought this might be relevant. I did an online survey for Villa about the new site, and although I am still *grumble* a windows user, I did stress when asked what I would like to see is compatibility for Mac and Linux users. I would imagine some others who did the survey also asked for this? I don't know if the survey is still running either, but it might be worth a look around the OS and see if it is to put your points across.

I've put this year being better - just. Sure nothing in it as far as points go, but....... We've taken points off the main clubs at some point. While we've had a couple of losses that were pretty horrendous to watch, so far *and god I hope I am not tempting fate by typing this* we haven't had an absolute mauling *West Spam and Doncaster spring to mind especially*. Finally, a game like yesterday we would have just lost once we got behind. I never felt last year once we were behind we were ever likely to get back even a point, and while its not been the same for every game this year, at least we've tried to fight back at times this season.

Would rather see Wolves and the Baggies playing against us in the Premier League! Agree it would be good to have some more Midland teams playing, but just can't stand the thought of it being Small Heath scum.

General I would like to again take the opportunity to thank you, Randy and all those involved in the Nike deal! It is truly amazing to think of all that has been done over the last few months. Things that we know there wasn't a cat in hells chance of getting before the takeover. It still sometimes feels slightly unreal - but still bloody amazing!

Fantastic memories. Unfortunately I couldn't make the actual final, but I remember the win so vividly even today! I can't even imagine how much better it must be for those who managed to go. Up the Villa!

Pretty well sums up my feelings about Lee Hendrie. Thanks for the article Blandy - In many ways it will be a shame to see him going to another club, but I do feel his best at Villa is now over and so it probably is the right time to move on for him. Best of luck whatever happens Lee! Up the Villa.

I know it isn't likely, but Alan Smith is still a possible target. I don't think he will want to move, but he might be thinking about it now that Hargreaves is back in the frame unless he returns as a striker, not in the midfield.
