    That is your opinion, however, I think you are wrong. Yes Man Utd were the better team but we were hardly outplayed. For all their possesion they needed a slip from Dunne in order to score a goal. A top striker next to Gabby and we will continue to rise and improve. Onwards and Upwards!

    On a seperate note how the hell did that linesman give offside against Dunne near the end? Thats possibly an even worse decision than Dowd's all though not as game changing. Does he not know the offside law?

    Played ok. Some better than others and certainly weren't outclassed. We lack a striker to partner Gabby but then we knew that already... Heskey, for all his hard work, is no goal threat. Voted Gabby my MOM as I felt he held the ball up well and caused them problems, Petrov was a close second. Phil Dowd is, and i'm sure we can all agree on this, a shit ref.

    I wouldn't dick around with the back 4 to much as this gives us a solidity on which we can depend, maybe one change eg Beye in at RB Cueller into the middle Dunne rested. Making more than 4/5 changes from our regular starting line up would imo be a mistake and lead us to a very unhappy exit from the cup.

    We look short on attacking confidence - I dare say all the negativity concerning our attacking abilities over the last few gamess within the media has probably added even more pressure. We just need a game or two against a few opponents of a standard less than Arsenal/ Man Utd/ Spurs and hopefully we will start to regain some of our attacking threat. If you had offered us in this position after the run of fixtures we had from Christmas until now I would have taken it. Now the important time begins because we have to take advantage of a good run of winnable fixtures.

    when did anyone ever say that? Check out the 'Ash Youngs form' thread and you will find a number of posts stating that they feel Ash has peaked and that we should sell him if we get the opportunity.
