  1. Have to say I agree. Play Luke Young at RB and Ceullar at CB with Dunne. Best players in best positions please! As for the game - wow - what a turn around. Always felt that a replay was on the cards if we could get an early goal - but to come out and blitz them like we did just goes to show how well we can perform when we need to! Carew and Heskey were so much hungrier in the second half- yesterday I saw the old Carew, the guy that tore into blues when we spanked them 5-1. When he's up for it, he's a different animal and can destroy defences. Great atmosphere all game by the villa fans - non-stop singing and we all went wild for each and every goal. You just got the feeling when Ashley Young got our first goal yesterday that something special could be on the cards....and indeed it was. Bring on Chelsea!!
  2. 4-5-1 please MON. With Delph added into the middle to play alongside Milner and Pets. Hit downing and Young on the flanks with Gabby upfront. This will sop us hoofing it up and will cause us to use the ball effectively. Milner / A.Young can push forward t support Gabby too. Id also start Ceullar and Dunne at the back with Luke Young and Warnock as full backs. Play our best players in their best positions.
  3. This is the same idiot who was on TalkSport last week saying how he wouldnt give penalties at Old Trafford because of the lashing he'd get form papers, Fergie etc - as opposed to "down at Portsmouth". The guy is a tool.
  4. You can find him on the front of sweetcorn cans.
  5. Absolutly! Ill be hitting Clapham and then Lost Angel bar in Battersea on the ssaturdya night! Should be benter! Be good to mee tup with some fellow villans! Plus, means I could finally meet you Nick! (Not in a homo-first date-way obviously!)
  6. Ill be getting o it in Clapham and Battersea! Claps and batts for short.
  7. We struggled against Brighton so id start some of the first teamers and bring them off if we find ourselves in a good position. I'd start Delph and the Fonz - every time I see this guy of late he looks sharp, gets infront of defenders well and is ultra keen to impress - i'd start him.
  8. 'tis true and I know one of them....but I'd be lynched for posting it on here. They won't be publicised at all, simple rumour will be enough to fill the [very] small venues. All I can suggest is that you call up likely places and very gently using your best chat up lines, ask them. Can you please PM then???
  9. I would also like this confirmed, if anyone has any info?? Im caught bewteen paying £120 for a ticket then an additional £20 for the booking fee - what a rip!! But im desperate to go, and the Royal Albert Hall would be an amazing location to see him. But am also considering buying from a tout outside the venue - id prob get away with £100 max (although would start lower obv) but there's the risk of the whole legit issue/worry.
  10. I dont think this is in the 'make-up' for players like Petrov and Milner. However Downing has been ducking out of challenges in the past few games ,although I do relaise that he isnt the most physical player anyway. Same with Ashley Young.
  11. ^^ Absolute comedy lads! I feel relieved for you CatleBromVilla! ^^
  12. Anyone know the best way to get tickets to see Noel Gallagher at the Royal Albert Hall next month? Im desperate to see him play - but don't want to buy from a tout and risk the inevitable dodgy ticket scam! Anyone who may want to seel please PM me!
  13. Yeah if you dont mind paying £6 for a shot of beer. Sorry, my point was that if they sell it you are allowed it and i always take my own booze on Virgin. To be fair there is no way chiltern can enforce it Fair enough - in that case make them beers loooong! Could always throw some JD into a virgin coke bottle, that should keep the conductors sweet. For me, looks as if im going to be getting the National Express down...they wont be stopping me sinking a few tinnies on the way down!
  14. Yeah if you dont mind paying £6 for a shot of beer.
  15. Ive just booked my return coack tickets with National Express for £2 RETURN!! The NOTW are running plenty of very cheap services from various destinations around the country - and plenty of differnet travel dates, times etc. Ive gone for a return that arrives at 1.30pm in London on 27th then returns to brum on the Monday evening. Plus im safe in the knowledge that I can always jump on the Chiltern down to / from Marylebone anytime on that weekend for £19 RTN if I miss the coach. Bargain!!
  16. 4-5-1 = we play good football. 4-4-2 = we kick it up in the air too much and don't use our quality.
  17. Glass half full today mate? Never going to be easy - just hope to high heaven that we're not the team that Burnley finally beat away from home. Ive no idea why people are suggesting this will be a walkover. We never walk over any team and struggle to score enough to finish teams off so im fully expecting a tight game. Saw Burnley against Man Utd and they could well have taken all 3 points - but for some poor finishing - they certainly had the chances. Petrov and Milner need to control the midfield and we need to dictate the tempo. Id persoanlly start 4-5-1 with Gabby up front - the first half against man Utd was one of our bets passing performances for ages - we kept the ball, took our time and created openings. If we adopt a similar style against The Clarets then we have every chance of creating and taking opportunities. Id go with: Friedel Young Ceullar Dunne Warnock A.Young Milner Petrov Delph Downing Gabby
  18. Ive got a feeling Ceullar may be rested sunday.... Think its safe to say that Ceullar writes his own status updates!
  19. I know mate, was only joshin. Agree about the negativity on here at times though, hence why I spend alot of my time on here thinking up puns to lighten the mood.
  20. Can I just ask what is the point of going to watch your team if you can't barrack or celebrate? Might as well just watch telly? As for the glory hunter debate, I think us non-Brunny Villa supporters should be called misery-hunters 1. I have no idea what a "Brunny" is. 2. Going to Wembley, great young squad, fantatsic manager, incredible owner, harmony at club, pride of the Midlands, chasing Europe all equates to misery? I suggets you go follow Pompey if you want an example of misery. (I do realise you were joking but just wanted to make a point )
