  1. Exactly the same here, even down to when I became a Villa fan. Big Ron is a legend.
  2. Who's pissing about? It's not us. We've got our valuation and we're sticking to it. Liverpool knows the price. All they've had to do is pay it. Finnan is a quality player, but his best days are behind him and he's knocking on a bit now so I'd say that he's worth £1.5m max.
  3. No. We should have no further communication with Liverpool unless they offer us £18m or £17m plus Finnan. Although I have to say that I'm still of the (perhaps controversial and definitely unrealistic) opinion that we should point blank refuse to sell to those scum bags. I don't want them strengthened.
  4. I'd say it shows bottle more than anything. Going up to take a make or break penalty ahead of the Essien, Anelka etc etc. Fair play to him. Agreed!
  5. Why the hell is Kenyon going up for the presentation?! Leading the team in front of Terry no less!
  6. Apparently Essien won't take a penno because the last time he took one in a shoot out, he missed and his mother had a heart attack!
  7. Tevez runs round pushing anyone and everyone and Tyldesley has a go at Carvalho for one little shove! This is getting ridiculous!
  8. Fair play, this has been a wonderful game, played by two fantastic sides.
  9. Tyldesley is the most biased commentator I've ever heard in my life. Utter rocket polisher. His comments about Drogba are at best unprofessional. He's bumming every United attack to high heaven, yet when Chelsea nearly scored, he barely said a word. Absolute disgrace.
  10. They have (sort of) explained the numbers. Or at least said where they came from and why they were printed on things on the island. It was something called the Valenzetti Equation which is named after the mathematician that discovered it. The numbers are basically a set of variables which count down to the end of the world. Experimenting into how to change these numbers was one of the main reasons for the Dharma Initiative being on the island. There are videos and stuff about it on www.lostpedia.com.
  11. I'm fairly certain they know. They've posed so many mysteries that they could have got themselves in a complete and unresolvable mess if they didn't know where they were going. They also publicly stated that they planted massive clues in the first few episodes of season 1, so that when it does end, they be able to prove that they always knew what was going to happen. I also remember see 'Charlie' on Jonathan Ross, but can't remember him saying it was being stretched out beyond the wishes of the writers. What I do recall is that he said that they have a definite ending in mind but how they get there is open to adjustment.
  12. Just another quick message of support for the price rises, General. We're still going to be getting incredible value for money, particularly with the constant improvement and development at the club. I'm just thinking where we'll be next year and it will all be worth it. I can't remember if I've ever posted in this thread before, but if not, thank you so much for everything you and Randy have done for this club. Thinking about Villa just makes me happy now and we can finally hold our heads up high again. This season has given me some moments that I will never forget. It's an honour and a privilege to be directly addressing a man of your standing.
  13. JB

    strange question

Barcodes for me too I think! The derbies are great occasions.
  14. Not as bad as Ronaldo's eyebrows! How plucked are they?
  15. Champ's "that time of the month" speech There's much, much more too.
  16. The article appears to be based on a presumption, a presumption which suggests that £45,000 is the maximum weekly wage that we are willing to pay. I don't see any evidence for this at all.
  17. In JJB in Cardiff they have a whole stand dedicated to the new Villa kit, complete with a picture of Barry, Gabby, Young, Maloney, Moore and Mellberg in front of the Bullring on top of it. They haven't got anything like that for Spurs. This would never have happened before and shows that our marketing is now reaching places it never would have before. Thanks General. Really appreciate what you guys are doing for this club. I'm embarrassed about the moaning from some about trivial issues over which you clearly have no control. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed by the vast majority of Villa fans. I for one am extremely grateful. You've given me so many (Villa-related!) shiver-down-the-spine moments already - I can't wait to see what's next.
  18. Yes! Each of those is a perfect example of how amazing South Park is. The movie is also stunning. Only Anchorman has made me laugh nearly as much.
  19. I loved the Lord Of The Rings one! And the Garrison gay sex vehicle one. World of Warcraft was complete toss though, agreed.
  20. Spot on. Although I am occassionally disappointed with some of the newer episodes of South Park. Free Willy, the Day Before The Day After Tomorrow (or whatever it was called) and the one where they frame that kid for burning a teacher spring to mind.
  21. Not made by the same people. The Simpsons mocked Family Guy for the blatant and sustained plagiarism. That's why I can't completely get on board with it to be honest.
  22. Strongly disagree about starting South Park at season 5. You’d miss some very, very funny episodes if you did. For instance, the Cartman Joins NAMBLA (North American Man Boy Love Association) episode, Gnomes and Timmy episodes, amongst many, many others. What also annoying is only series 1-4 are available in Europe, with no sign of 5+ being released.
