The job at present IS survival. Do you not understand that Lerner wants to sell the club? He wants as much of his outlay back as possible? (this means no high wages or transfer fees) The first part of the job has been to get rid of the bomb squad which is almost complete. We are now in a position where we should be able to bring a bit of experience in on lower wages to compliment the players we have. Bringing a new manager in will not change the situation that Lerner doesn't give a f##k

Sack Lambert & who will you bring in? Or to re-phrase the question-Who would want the job? Lets stick we've what we.ve got & see the job through.

I feel very low as a Villa fan but the blame for this rests firmly at Lerners door. Lambert has come in, had the balls to try for these relatively unheard of players, give them a chance & stick with them. His remit may well have been to bomb out the bomb squad but the fact that he's never been tempted to fall back on them when times got tough is to his credit. Give him time-he's the whipping boy for lerners total indifference to our ambitions. I'd add that the job he has done here would make him an attractive proposition for any bottom half side whose aspirations are survival-He's done the job that he was taken on to do-Lets give him a chance to see us through the next phase eh? Keep it going Lambo-The moaners are in a minority, despite what you might read on here.

Can't believe people are suggesting we should have sold him. Who in their right mind would sell a striker who has just netted 19 PL goals? Can you imagine the anti-Lambert brigade now if we had have sold him, given our struggle to score goals. Given hindsight, I would have gone to Arsenal, 1st game of the season, I would have invested in Taylor Wimpey shares at 4p but are now £1.00 & I would not have drunk all those Jagger bombs at Stoke. I'm convinced Benteke will come good again. Whether he will reach the level we predicted 12 months ago is another question.

If Benteke doesn't leave this window (& I don't think he will). I'd say its 50% at best that he will in the summer unless he picks his game up dramatically between now & the end of the season. If nobody was prepared to gamble after last seasons performances, they sure as hell won't be prepared to gamble after this season.

Not really as he's been signed as potential, not as 1st team quality at this moment in time. Miles off 1st team level at this stage which explains why Bowrey gets the nod ahead of him on the subs bench. If people could try to grasp this fact, it might help somewhat in understanding the need to sign Kozac when we did-I won't be holding my breath though.

I have to admit, the cup has lost a lot of its magic for me. The cup winners cup was always the easiest to win due to no other European country taking the cup as seriously as England. We've now followed suit. We've since entered into an era where money is behind everything. A few years ago, the holders didn't even bother defending the trophy, instaed opting to go to South America to play in a more lucrative competition. Teams invariably field weaker sides in the earlier rounds & despite what some have said on here, a long cup run will catch up with you in the league as the season draws to a close.

Wouldn't say he leaked the team-Can recall him suggesting Benteke may be rested for 1 game (which he subsequently was) & remember him coming on here an hour or so before we ko'd against Man U to say we were going for it & not to moan if things went wrong. I guess with us being in the market for players at present, it was crucial for the club to call a halt on things. Perhaps Martin Swain started sniffing around at Villa & dropped HH in it?

If we were to move Gabby then we'd need another replacement to step into Gabbys role-That's 2 changes. However you dress it, Kozac is a big loss (scored more than both Gabby & Weiman as well)

Is he a loss or not? Lets see.. Could he come in & score goals if a striker is injured/suspended? Yes Could Bowrey or Helineous? No Is anyone else capable of filling this role? No As I see it, every time we need to replace Benteke (& possibly Gabby or Weiman), our 1st choice back up is not available. Bringing in Kozac would not have disrupted the team greatly, as proven.

How many of our staff bothered going up to Newcastle on an autumn sunday to watch Newcastle v Fulham? I'd say about 1 & guess who that was? It would have been obvious to anyone connected with the club who HH is. Do you think there are dozens of track suited coaches all privy to the kind of info he was posting? He was almost spelling it out to you in the end & you still didn't get it.

To be fair, I know Mr Dyer-He's not a bad lad at all-Very passionate about the Villa & as you can see, is not a Clark fan. I would add that Clark has improved this season imo & would place Baker as the higher risk. I think the secret is to replace both of them.

It was Lambert-Fair play to him for taking so much time to read peoples posts & address their concerns, especially with the flak he received on here. Doubt you'll see him posting again-At least not as HH anyway.

Given our squad, I believe it is a massive loss. Granted, he probably wasn't going to start but think about this: During that recent poor run, no player covered themselves with glory-Prior to that, Kozac came in, did better than Benteke in several games & chipped in with goals. Try not to judge him on his last 4 games only.
