  1. That would be under 18 skipper Daniel Johnson.
  2. The biggest bug bear once again if true, we let players go before replacements arrive, its pretty crappy if we lose both of our most creative players in one summer. What must a certain darren bent be feeling. He must have been convinced we were a club going places in January, what has changed.
  3. Grudging acceptance that we do not have any real choice but to accept the fact he is going to be our new manager, be interested now in the first press conference and what kind of squad we end up with come the end of the summer. This will be a true test of were we are going, decide to bring in some cheap players to supplement the youth and then we know that Randy has now decided that we are a mid table team sometimes making a push for europe.
  4. Barbados with Wayne Rooney, Andy Carroll and Gary Mac
  5. Frustrated in some respect because it shows in parts of that half the kind of football we are capable of.
  6. The most disappointing and unexcusable thing about this season for me is when Taylor and O'Leary flirted with relegation in their last seasons, it was under Ellis with a much worse squad, this team has received massive wages and had a shit load spent on it, and we are very close to being relegated and we are still not mathematically safe with two games to come against arsenal and liverpool, its a joke
  7. Bent should have scored then, that was the chance to secure our survival for sure.
  8. What a truly shocking opening ten minutes, at home to a team in the relegation zone, we are truly a load of complete toss!! we are so lucky this season some teams have been worse than us, i cannot remember such consistently poor performances, we have a full strength team out their (supposedly!!)
  9. Dunne and Collins are some of the least cultured players I have ever seen, they hate being in possesion of the ball.
  10. Stoke really are a horrible team to play against, they are anti football. Play the percentages like bolton under fat sam.
  11. Looking like a team of strangers again, there is zero invention or passion in the team, what do they do all week.
  12. Someone like Samba in and Makoun and I would feel a lot more confident this season, there has been too many mistakes made by Collins and Dunne this season and a lack of a real midfield enforcer has cost us. Bannan is going to be one hell of a midfielder, and clark looks very composed, cannot really say anymore about Albrighton that has not already been said. Need to remind myself this is Sheffield United and we have been pap all season!! Must not get hopes up, must not get hopes up!
  13. I tell you something for all of Houiller's fault and the general doom and gloom of this season. Albrighton, Clark and Bannan look to be excellent footballers and so composed at such a young age. Three very bright sparks in a very dour season.
  14. It is really ironic in a nasty way, that we get ourselves a billionaire owner after years of supposed stagnation as a club and then we are now having probably one of our most worrying seasons in the premier league era. GH came out the other night and was asked if he realised how big the job was he was taking on, he said no way it is far bigger, with a gloomy and defeated expression. Ladies and Gents we are in an absolute dog fight whether we want it or not, this premier league is closer than ever. So a big club could fall and that could very well be us. I am concerned we do not have the senior players ready and willing to fight for survival, for whatever reason they have decided Houiller is not the manager they want. This is the same group of players who were supposedely popping champagne corks via text when MON left, and were clambering for Kevin Mac to get the job, and then went out and played against Newcastle in one of the most abject performance seen in a long time. 6-0 to a newly promoted Newcastle team is so far from being acceptable it hurts. There is a poison at the club and it needs to change, MON saw the writing on the wall and decided to jump. We can talk all we want about the manager and the owner but ultimately this set of players needs to pull us out of the mess or be moved on in January if they are not up for the fight. They are taking us for absolute mugs and do not care one iota for the club or us as fans. GH said in his TV interview after the Man City game when asked about the threat of relegation and the January window "We are in a relegation battle, we were before the game and we are now, I need to see that the players who are here now are ready for this battle, or if they are not!" A telling comment if you ask me. GH has created a lot of issues this is a given and he has to take a massive portion of the blame, but lets not kid ourselves to say this was a rose garden before he joined because it was not. The signs have been there for a number of months. I do not believe the owner is going to sack the manager, he has proven time and again with Cleveland Browns that he sticks by his appointments, he is not flavour of the month with them because of it, so what choice do we have? We need to allow him to ship out the players who do not want to be here and then the owner needs to allow him to replace them, whether short term loans or long term deals we need players who want to play and fight for our premier league status.
  15. I just hope its not a complete mauling and we do not embarass ourselves further. Like others I have no expectation other than a loss today, will be pleasently surprised if we get a point.
  16. It's ok only chelsea and man city to come, oh and Stewart downing don't just give up the ghost!
  17. Just shows how strange the league is this season, we are now currently 4 points from the bottom 3 and 4 points from 6th. Our form along with the rest of the league leaves a lot to be desired, we now have a very tough run of fixtures to the new year, but fingers crossed we can get at least a few points from these games. Then who knows for January onwards which Villa will turn up? Welcome back Marc Albrighton. Good lad.
  18. I am sorry to say but for all our possesion and pressure, its only a matter of time with our defence, we are an absolute bloody nightmare at the back.
  19. The trouble is we were pretty terrible this season before Houiller arrived defensively, 6 against newcastle for a start.
  20. Richard Dunne is such a passenger this season, dare I say he looks like he cannot be arsed, last season he was throwing himself at everything, this he turns around disinterested half the time, laughs at the end of a game we lose, earn your bloody money for gods sake!!
  21. They have deserved it, stoke all over again, we look absolutely clueless this 2nd half, and once again a team appears to want it more than us.
  22. So glad we never jumped at the west ham game and gave Kev Mac the job on a permanent basis, good bloke of that there is no doubt, but he is so far out of his depth at management level that its untrue, in his short tenure, we have played well against a very poor West Ham, then had a creditable draw in Vienna, been battered by newly promoted Newcastle 6-0, lose at home again in the Europa League to Vienna, backs to the wall 1-0 win against Everton, throw it away against Stoke when we should have won and then today been truly clueless against a very poor Bolton side. Monday cannot come quick enough! Lets see if we can stay in a cup competition come Wednesday because it wont be an easy game against Blackburn in the Carling Cup.
  23. Houiller looks glum! Quite right too his expression is how I am feeling at the moment, just not good enough.
  24. I think they will have earnt it the way we have setup for this game. Its completely clueless.
