  1. Fair play Brighton, great team. Let's hope we can hold off spurs and Brentford.
  2. Leeds played well to be fair, we just seem to passive.
  3. I think the problem is I would not mind losing in the way we did if we had a a bunch of youth players out there like Feeney, Raikhy and Kadan Young etc. At least they might have shown some respect, bottle and fight. It appears once again our 2nd string are gutless in another cup competition. The recruitment over the last 2 years has been on the whole terrible bar a few exceptions, I am so sure Unai realises this now and the rebuild job on his hands. Its surely time in the summer to move a number of these on and bringing through some of the younger players we cannot just keep carrying this dead wood who are never going to be good enough.
  4. It feels to me a little bit of a cross roads moment. Gerrard has a defined way of playing with the number 8s covering full back positions, this is then supposed to allow the full backs to be our attacking outlets. At present teams have worked out how to counter act this formation which leaves us really open through the middle and leaves players like mcginn covering for cash in an unnatural position. This seems to me like a case of a system not fitting the players, or the system not working with a lower quality players unlike Liverpool. There is no easy answer does he change the system to get the best out of the players or keep persevering hoping it clicks. Lots of people asking the questions about how open it leaves us, players like luiz although not world beaters will struggle when exposed to a 3 on 1 through the middle. It will be interesting to see the reaction come the weekend.
  5. Be interesting to see the decision reasons
  6. Think he will catch him now that was a bit silly I think.
  7. I cannot understand his thinking on this one. I get that his form has dipped and we have two good players in wide positions, but Bolasie is coming back from a long term injury, what happens if him or El Ghazi get injured. After loaning Green out and then this he really is asking for trouble. The bloke absolutely baffles me!
  8. One thing I will say I absolutely think with our midfield if we continue with kodjia up front we will continue to struggle. We need a striker who can hold the ball up and bring others into the game. We would then get runners into the box and create more in the final 3rd. Kodjia is not a central lone striker and never will be, he doesn't have it in his game, too individual which is brilliant at times and frustrating as hell at others. This is why for all of our possession and defensive frailties our biggest failure will be not signing a hold up striker, in my opinion of course.
  9. We did play better football in both games, the problem is we regressed in both games for the last quarter of each game. We are not creating enough clear cut chances from open play because we have very few players attacking the box. Today in the last 5 to 10 minutes we had 2 defenders on the right and 2 defenders on the left, and no-one up front against reading at home. Are we playing as well as we should against a team in the bottom three at home? He has stabilised us, he has brought to the club some talented players. However our inherent ability to regress and allow teams back into games will not get us promoted. That's why I think we need a change. I would dearly love for him to make me eat my words and get us up, I just cannot see it.
  10. He is just too negative in his mindset. He will not change and therefore we will end up going nowhere. We need a change.
  11. I really dont get Bruce thinking with this one, he played all pre season for united at centre back, he is supposed to be a great prospect at centre back. He then goes I know lets put him at right back and play Jedinak at centre back. Madness!! He keeps putting square pegs in round holes!
  12. Went in with low expectations. Was pleasantly surprised by Solo. Thought it was better than the last Jedi.
  13. Going to be smash and grab if we get anything feels like that type of game.
  14. I think this kid might be on to something. Parallel universe We are living inside a Universe that’s so complex that if we can grasp what’s happening for a moment, we’ll fall down on our knees and cry in surrender to its marvelous beauty! Science just barely starts to scratch the surface to the nature of reality and still, its discoveries are more shocking than we were able to imagine. It proves of quantum entanglement, unified field of consciousness, free energy, superhuman abilities, singularity, parallel universes and alternate realities. All of this is so mind boggling that you would never think a kid can understand. But maybe we need a kid, someone who is brave enough to think about crazy ideas and theories because most of the world we live in today was built upon such. Max Laughlin is not just any kid. He is probably the smartest kid in the world. When he had only 13 years he invented a Free Energy Device, something that could potentially power the whole world for free. He became famous across the world for his brilliant ideas and points of view on interesting topics like the nature of The Universe and Alternate Realities. But now he has a theory that CERN destroyed our Universe and we live in another Universe that was parallel and closest to it. He thinks the famous Mandela Effect is a result of that.
  15. When will it ever end, spiralling lower and lower over 6 years now. I just am completely out of ideas now about what we can do to turn the club around, we dont even feel like we have bottomed out yet this could get worse!
  16. However turgid Bruce football may have been at previous clubs he has four promotions on his CV. Villa just seem too big of a club to tame or get right, the pressure just gets to every single one of them and they panic and turn to mush. Tactics are important and he has made a number of mistakes, but the players also turn to mush. Conor Hourihane has been one of the players of the season by all accounts in the championship so far, played two games and looked like a lost sheep. We are poisonous!
  17. What do we have to do to turn this round, we change the owner, we change the manager, we spend money, we get new players, we change the manager, we spend money and we get new players. Yet we are still utter horse crap. How many more years can we take of this dross, 6 years of a spiral of poor performances. It seems every single team is out passing us, outfighting us, outplaying us. I am completely out of ideas and hope that we are ever going to see us be successful and play decent football again! Painful and hopeless.
  18. Brentford getting what they deserve, and so have we. This cannot continue surely.
  19. Adrian Bevington retweeted the article, considering he was working with Hollis until 2-3 weeks ago. I would say this is done.
  20. We have tried three British managers since houiller left. I am nervous and excited to see how we get on with another foreign manager. At least we now have some fleeting hope if he is to be the man. Who knows what will happen, however with the last bloke we would have gone down anyway.
  21. Defending will be our achilles heel, going to be a very up and down season by the looks of it.
  22. Purchased it today, been waiting ages to get since I first heard it was coming. Home time cannot come soon enough!
  23. Purchased it today, really is very hard. However I know when I die it is my own fault. I just went down to get the hunter armor polished off three hunch backs, then got to the rats and went gung ho and got mullered by the rats and hunch back remaining! Idiot I thought! So I switched off and will crack on tomorrow more cautiously.
