  1. They certainly couldn't have eased him in any more gently. It was giving me the impression they didn't rate him. It'll also be interesting to see if Weimann can repeat this season's heroics in next season's reserve league.
  2. Assuming they don't have much of a market value, I do think it would be very easy to sell both of those. Whatever we think of Emile on here, he is an England striker which half of the Premier League would like to own. And Carew was being looked at by Spurs last season. Even if they no longer want him, that's a glimpse at the calibre of side that like him.
  3. Hasn't been able to prove he's the same player since his injury. This means he's either a potential bargain or a write-off. If Arsenal are looking to sell him then I'd say the latter. Plus he's a proven cheat. So no on 2 counts.
  4. It was a fantastic goal Rev but it's important to note that in no way were Poland going anywhere near full throttle. Watch their defenders. They stand off them and allow them to play around them. I'd say it's a fair bet they were warned not to injure anyone.
  5. An alien species has decided that James Milner was the obvious and outstanding candidate to host them on this planet. They will be making contact presently.

Good point Just announce and be done with it
  7. Don't get me wrong, I'd absolutely love us to get him even if I do think he's a cock. We need someone nasty in the centre. I quoted your final sentence because I think his next move will be to Germany.
  8. Yeah I think 99% of Brazilians like the nightlife. Kaka is the freak Oh and Adriano has been presented as a Roma player.
  9. I'd be confident that in Ballack's head we are way way beneath him. I also doubt we'd get anywhere near his wage demands.
  10. Gunners in 'good goalkeeper' shocker !!! If Liverpool get Hodgson and Arsenal get Schwarzer I can see Fulham slipping back into oblivion. I love this bit ""We have made an enquiry for him and they are not prepared to sell him so we have gone away". Gone away to the press to blab about it in the hope of turning the player's head you mean. rocket polishers.
  11. You think he wont still be on around £80k a week at Chelsea? Please don't make the post out to be something it's not.
  12. I personally believe that Jimmy is only motivated by personal achievement and professional progression. As such, if Chelsea or any Champions League side come in for him, assuming he wont be on the bread line with them, in my view he will choose them over Citeh. I am already comfortable with him moving on from Villa. It's just which jersey to imagine him in that I haven't decided on. If he does go to Citeh then I can only imagine Chelsea were not a serious bidder. And before someone throws a stupid and ill-conceived comparison to Barry into the equation, their situations are so very different.

Just found out that nononsense.ie car insurance is a ryanair company - something strangely absent from the website, funnily enough. I'm all for minimalist flights. I'm really not for minimalist car insurance. "Oh you never ticked that box sir".
  14. I want England to have three 6-0's then face a grumpy German side who just came 2nd to Serbia
  15. Iniesta is fine. The scan was good Might even play their opening group game.
  16. Yes, matterbooboo was priceless too. Any more of those stupid works-on-colleagues type ones?
  17. Got a good laugh outta that. Just my type of stupid office humour
  18. Proving that Domenech doesn't have exclusive rights on the bat shit and squirrel shit craziness going around the French camp, William Gallas has started a media boycott in protest at Domenech making Patrice Evra the captain in Henry's (first team) absence. Story
  19. It is also a good example of how the term 'selling club' is abused. It is as relative as 'within means'. If there is a single club in the world that is bigger than you then a critic could describe you as a selling club if your better players are bought. An actual selling club, used in the proper sense, is a club that needs to sell players solely for the club to survive. Like Crewe Alexandra who almost exist to develop players for sale these days. I think Spurs have used that Lyon tactic Levi, though they haven't had to come from quite as far down. For the last few years they have almost totally made a profit on every single player they bought and they have had to sell their best players on several occasions aswell.
