His get out of jail free card is the fact that hes said we would need to get rid of players first. If a couple leave then it negates his comment about not thinking more will come in (and also makes other clubs aware we dont have a bottomless pit of money)

I've spoken to my friend who works with Baniyas FC but alas he's not heard anything about Zog coming over here. That's not to say he's not, just no juicy rumours at this end. Yet. He's going to keep me posted and I'll do likewise on here. If you have a friend that works there, or at any other club, why the hell havent you been suggesting N'Zog to them already?

I doubt it was either Adebayor or nobody! Just because he may be joining West Ham doesnt mean we wont have a player wearing the No 10 shirt anymore. We have also come close to shipping Kozak out if the reports are true. The way I read Tim's comments about Sanchez and Senderos was that he was just explaining his defensive selections/injury problems for the cup tie. He's basically confirmed that given a couple of injuries in defence we are having to patch it up rather than bring in proper replacements (although he does have faith in the guys coming in). I think we will sign Lescott and a striker (possibly on loan). I hope (but doubt) we also bring in a first choice keeper as I dont think Guzan is good enough and if he gets injured we are left with Bunn. We should be looking at a position of around 8th - 10th in the prem with our squad (once we sign a CB & ST) and IMO Guzan would be the weakest link in the team.

IMO last nights performance pretty much confirmed what most of us already knew, we need a new CB & GK. I know that wasnt our first choice team out but these are the players we are left with if Brad or any of our defenders get injured which is a very real possibility. A striker is also still a high priority but Sinclair has hopefully shown Tim that he should be picked ahead of Gabby in that position. So, GK, CB & ST

Darren McGregor has left Rangers by mutual consent according to SSN. He was their player of the year last season, 30 yr old defender. anybody know if hes any good/worth a look?

Wouldn't read too much into what Tim Says to the media, I don't think we have much left and it's possible we will be looking at the loan market. I agree the loan market is where we will be looking now as a quick fix while the new guys settle in. Lescott could still be a transfer though due to the low fee.

Interesting comments from Tim: On transfer window business to come… I wouldn't have thought we will be doing too much. The chairman has backed us and brought in a lot of new players. It was needed - we needed change. If there's anything that can improve us, we will be in the market.
