  1. What's the net loss on that lot? Bit of a shambles.
  2. I'm disappointed with the telegraph.
  3. What's your dishonest opinion? I haven't got one. Honesty is the best policy.
  4. Haha poor guy. I'm not sure he even realises what he has said.
  5. May as well get the other one too.
  6. My Arsenal supporting cousin is killing me with texts.
  7. Only saw him for a few games but he really did impress. Put him wherever he wants.
  8. Although what you say makes rational sense, isn't that exactly what Shahid Khan did with Fulham? Didn't they finish mid table the season before? I guess the new owner didn't realise how difficult this league really is. Which is why I think we could be in a relegation battle even if we are taken over. Around at least 10 teams probably will be such is the divide in this league.
  9. Only if they make a really really good offer. They don't need to when he has a year left on his contract. The club will fight to keep him though. I've no doubt they will. I wouldn't actually blame the club if he left. Can't begrudge a guy his last big move as long as the offer is right.
  10. Only if they make a really really good offer. I'm sure they will agree on the correct fee for a 30 year old International with a year left on his contract. I'm thinking maybe around 8-10M would be good business. I could also see him handing in a transfer request if he has to. Could be his last chance for European football after all. Or maybe I'm just making him out to be better than he actually is and there will be no teams in for him. Either way I do not think Senderos as been signed as his replacement.
  11. Do you say that because fans think Vlaar could leave? Senderos may not be his replacement but the chances of us needing to replace him are quite high at the moment.I just think some people are being a bit over-dramatic. The club are not stupid - they know they have to do everything they can to keep Vlaar. He could leave but saying the likelihood of him leaving is "quite high" is just hyperbole at the moment.I think when a Dutch International defender gets down to the last year year of his contract for a struggling team the chances of him leaving do become quite high. He has shown he is capable of performing in this League and clubs will be in for him. I know it's not the same but Albrighton was one of our better players last season and the club told him he could leave. I was quite surprised by that, I thought he had chose to leave. If a new contract hasn't been sealed by September then maybe I'd the chances of him leaving are quite high. At the moment, we've still got the whole summer ahead of us. I don't think that has much of a bearing really. The only logical explanation is that Albrighton's wage demands were a lot higher than he was actually worth. Unless Vlaar asks for something silly I think the club will agree to it because they know how important he is to us. Or maybe a lot higher than what the club were prepared to pay rather than what he was actually worth? If the club had a history of generally making the correct decision I could see how your explanation would have been the logical one. Anyway to stay on topic I'll say welcome to Villa Senderos. The club fought tooth and nail to keep Benteke last year. I would say the club have made both correct and incorrect decisions, but they've generally tried hard to keep hold of important players. This is just pessimism for the sake of pessimism. It really isn't in this case. I honesty believe Vlaar will be sold this summer to Man United. But I also think all funds will be used to find a replacement.
  12. My point is he's not a decent player. He's a bang average defender at best and that's why he's signed for a club like ours. He is pretty average. I don't think anybody can deny that. He is just better than what we have.
  13. Yeah I said similar not long back. No owner is going to spend £200 million and risk going down. If it doesn't happen with enough time to sign some quality then yep its another 12 months before anyone shows interest. No owner is going to spend £200 million full stop. Disclaimer....In my honest opinion.
  14. I'm guessing, and bear with me here because its a crazy concept, that possibly a player who's played at the level Senderos has might just have a bit of self belief and think he could force his way into the side!! I very much doubt he's come here to sit on the bench. He possibly WILL end up on the bench if Okore realises his potential, but I'm pretty sure that's not what he's aiming for and not how the club will have got him to sign. Then you'd think a decent player, with self belief to be a starter on a free would have better options than a club in our current state Unless he knows a takeover is about to happen

  18. I wouldn't say I'm happy about this signing but considering the scheme of things it has to be seen as a sensible signing if nothing else.
  19. We we were very good first 2 games. We were ok for a few games after that which coincided with us picking up some crucial points. We were then terrible for the rest of the season apart from a short spell around new year where we looked very good again.
  20. Or when he leaves this summer...
  21. Agree with this. It's looking very bleak in my opinion. Hopefully with a bit more depth again the squad and luck with injuries we can escape relegation again. I do think Vlaar and Delph will leave though so hopefully the money will be used to replace them both.
  22. I'm mixed on whether I feel they should. I guess it would be nice to know one way or the other.
  23. If the allternative is no sale then I'd take that any day.
  24. Has nothing to do with the value. Of course it does because it indicates that a lot more will need to be spent.
  25. 200M to buy a team that has flirted with relegation 3 seasons in a row. Is it really going to happen guys?
