For some reason that makes me feel better about myself! That or a bit scared of what the next two years of my life could do to me!!! Yeah man, be careful, be very careful... it creeps up on you and then before you know it: WHERE DID IT ALL GO WRONG? :winkold:

30, two kids, loads of grey hair and huge bags under my eyes
  3. Can I also add that I think some are too quick to have a pop at visiting fans - in my opinion there seems to be a bit too much aggression from some quarters too quickly - give em a chance I say!
  4. As long as they are civil etc then I actually think they can add quite a bit to the message board - as Drat says, they offer a differing perspective and can provide a bit of food for thought imho.
  5. Apparently, that's 'in the pipeline' so to speak, although it won't be a proper tabloid size, but a midway between, like the French Le Monde paper.
  6. I live in North London: ergo I am a mung bean and sandals Guardian reader. I never buy the Sun (I know Hillsborough had nothing to do with us, but I still find the lack of complete, no strings attached, apology reprehensible), agree that Times is good for sport. Telegraph is a bit staid, Independent is a bit flaky, and the rest I never touch.
  7. Yeah, of course you are right, but you've got to have a dream aintcha!
  8. I reckon O'Leary has told Doug to 'Get Steed'...
  9. Absolutely miles apart. And to be honest, on totally different stratospheres. Whilst recognising Bowyer has his talents as a hardworking Premiership midfielder, D'alessandro has the potential to be an absolute superstar. He was magnificent at River, just brilliant. If he could turn out to be an Aimar then potentially you could have a bargain buy on your hands.
  10. A lot of people on here know quite a lot about D'alessandro - Ryu for one... I haven't seen that much of him at Wolfsburg, but they signed him from River Plate where the boy was a bit special... Here's the story on Sporting Life:
  11. OK, here are my chosen ones (I haven't looked through the rest of the thread, so apologies if there are any duplications) Goalie: Stuart Taylor from Arsenal. Defence: I'd love us to get O'Shea but realise that's a bit of a punt.. Phil Neville perhaps? I've quite liked the look of Ryan Nelsen at Blackburn too. Zat Knight from Fulham looks a prospect as does Zesh Rehman (and they are both brummies) Midfield: Gera from West Brom, Seol from Wolves, Douala from Sporting Lisbon, Malbranque from Fulham all good attacking options Attack: Alan Smith from Man Utd would give us a bit more spunk. I like Kalou at Feyenoord too.
  12. I'm gonna go for Nigel Spink. Although he has really got to get out of blues asap.
  13. I'll speak up for him - I reckon he can take a decent penner. There ya go
  14. If the club won't accept the money, I think it should be put towards anti-Ellis promotion. Depending on how much money we end up with, we could take out a full page ad expressing our frustrations. I think the statue marking the achievements of the '82 team would also be good - I think it should definitely be used in some manner as opposed to returning it to sender... if you can manage to build a little momentum up you might as well continue
  15. I think Sorensen is by far and away the best keeper we have at the club. How many international caps does Postma have? Henderson? Undoubtedly he has made errors of late and he needs to eradicate them from his game. Not to excuse him, but most premiership keepers have had problem with this new nike ball this season. It's a bit penny-floater-ish!
  16. Nah I rate you for that... getting up in the middle of the night to watch a procession of near identical cigarette-packets-with-wheels-on pointlessly chasing after an arrogant German... that takes dedication above and beyond the call of duty. I salute you!
  17. I've put cricket although, to be honest I'll watch anything. I do like watching gaelic footie when I get a chance too. And I love baseball (hope beltran does it for the Mets). Not too fussed on NBA though.
  18. Yeah I've gone for Little being as I think our side was a pretty exciting one to watch at the time.. *sigh*
  19. I love the Smiths dearly, they meant a lot to me growing up and still do. Just trying to think of my favourite smiths song - you've got your obvious classics like 'there is a light', but 'reel around the fountain' sticks in my head, as does 'i won't share you'. Classic band.
