I did say we didn't have anything close..although out of habit I keep refreshing to see if there's a suprise signing Happening! I've been told there is clear interest in kodja but no bid made, but as stated before the staff really are trying to trim the squad. But it's difficult when they played worse than a pub team last year and people aren't interested. I would be suprised if Ayew is at Villa come the end of the transfer window, talk is the player himself doesn't want to be here, it'll come down to di matteo and Tony. (please stay!!!)

This pre-season he was keen to obviously become part of the playing squad but that hasn't come to fruition but as di matteo has said he is wanted at the club and has an offer on the table as a coaching role, but it'll be down to Stan if he believes he can play elsewhere.

He is wanted around the club with his character and experience, I believe he will be offered a role coaching the youngsters but will come down to what Stan wants to do.

At present you'll be refreshing for a long time! There's nothing close, Bamford is high on the list but there needs to be ours before ins.

Welcome to the club! Was a straight 50/50 between us and palace, although no bid was placed from them talks happened, first team football and Steve Clarke were the sealing factor! UTV!

This is steve clarkes call, was not a potential Di matteo signing however has listened to his right hand man, it is not 5million up front there is lots off add ons on this particular deal, with the usual appearances, international caps etc..... Time will tell with this to be honest lack of game time for a 21 year old and had a couple of injuries that weren't shook off as a usual knock.

Hi Sorry, been in France watching our wonderful performances....pleased Elphick has signed I did say it wouldn't take long both parties were keen, relatively quiet on the transfer front Bamford is a target but he has many suitors, Villa keen on a transfer rather than a loan.

They have had talks but it's still in the hands of the agents both parties are keen on getting a deal done, this shouldn't drag out.

Good afternoon! As expected Clarke and Bond have come in along with Di Matteo. Happy with that wealth of experience between them both, Not rocket science but they are looking at a Barton Esque signing in the middle of the park someone to put his foot in and galvanise the squad.

I believe Kevin Bond is there or thereabouts to being done, and come on Tonyh29 Steve Clark wasn't mentioned once same old VT ha! but great appointment the hard work begins! UTV.

Bond is coming but Harry won't be. its only the information I have been given along with Steve Clark, so I have to trust my source, but time will tell, I do agree with Newton and Holland though I rate them both.

I believe it will be announced in the next 48-72 hours with Steve Clarke and Kevin Bond coming in as part of his coaching team, that's the information I have been given but don't shoot the messenger! Think it's a good appointment with a good coaching team. Now we need to go and build a squad capable of promotion.

Looking forward to Roberto Di Matteo coming in, think we will see Steve Clark as his Assistant and Kevin Bond First Team coach. Just a little hunch.

Evening! I am a 24 year old villa fan living down South, my old man was born in Marston Green & i have family in Solihull, thankfully i was made a Villan rather than a blue nose! i get up to villa park at least 8 or 9 times in a season and the odd away game although most of them are much norther than me! i am regular to the forum as a guest and read the posts on a regular basis. I am looking forward to the next season and posting on Villa Talk. UTV!
