  1. Brendan Rodgers is the man for us - Leaner should go for him. I think it's worth the £2 million pay off + new contract even if RL has already paid £12 million in the last financial year on managers. He should be worth at least another 3000 season ticket renewals at least, because he's not Mcleish. Plays football the right way - good for our youngsters. Already has quite a few decent footballers to work with so wouldn't need to give him a load of cash to spend. Doubt he would turn us down - look how silly Martinez looks for turning us down now. We're still one of the biggest clubs in England despite our dodgy financial predicament. Not that I would be expecting Brendan to turn us into a top 4 team or anything like that but at least we would be making progress and carrying on the work Houllier was doing with the youth. And at least the club would be in harmony and he could bring on subs without being boooo'ed etc. Mcleish being here is just destructive for the club. I dread to think how low season ticket renewals will be next season if Mcleish is still here.
  2. A good summary. So basically what he have is a poor man's James Milner/Dirk Kuyt workhorse clone. Great. Shouldn't complain and I welcome him to the club but I hate these type of players.
  3. Where are those stats from? Wiki. They include League, Cup and Europey League.
  4. Great shoulder drop from Bazzer for the goal. The further up the pitch he plays the better for me. No point having him on the wing asking him to track back etc as players just breeze past him.
  5. This season for AZ Apps: 29 Assists: 9 Goals: 6
  6. Sounds ok from the article. His team look to be doing quite well which is often a good sign (presuming he's playing).
  7. I guess we will be paying him significantly more.
  8. What kind of player is he? Who would you compare him too? Are we going to do a Levante and sign up loads of cheap freebies? (which wouldn't be a bad idea given our current financial predicament). Any idea what wages he is on? Around 35k I'd guess.
  9. That's fine. I agree with you. But whipping a banner when we've just conceded is severely lacking in class and integrity. That's not sticking up for what you believe in, it's just throwing your toys out of the pram. You only sing when you're winning and all that...
  10. I agree with kingkermit, only someone lacking class and integrity would pull out a banner just because we conceded. If he had it out from the start it would have been more acceptable. Not just fickle, but slightly childish too.
  11. Mcleish should be favourite to go next anyway - what you see is a simple market correction. Would Whelen really sack Martinez after the loyalty he shown previously? Can't help feel a little smug at Wigan's predicament after what happened in the summer. They were much better under Steve Bruce anyway. What is interesting is why Rafa Beneitz is so much shorter than the rest. Must be a really thin market. I'd love Rafa here I'm glad people say they "wouldn't mind" him - honestly! Reality check please he would be a huge coup for us and thus, is unlikely to happen
  12. Mcleish is karma for all those who forced Houllier out last season. You don't know what you've got till it's gone :winkold:
  13. Some people are so ignorant. AVB would be a massive coup for us. Absolutely no chance of it happening though. Do you not realise the shyte he had to put up with at that vile club Chelsea? Or that he won the treble with Porto last season? I think he'd have had enough of the English press though to even consider moving to us. We have a manager anyway, and he isn't going anywhere for the moment. The owners love him.
  14. Wouldn't listen to teamtalk. Sounds very much like 1 man and his bedroom outfit. 294 followers says it all.
  15. You haven't been very generous to us though have you? 32 points? We have 11 games left and you think we'll only pick up 2 points? :| I know Mcleish is bad but I think you're being a drama queen here.
  16. ...and a large wager on "I didn't tell the players to play negative in the 2nd half"
  17. Our best team is this one but Bannan for Albrighton and Bent for Gabby.
  18. I have a borderline obsession with British Indian/Pakstani girls. Many are so beautiful compared to their white counter-parts. They have wonderful 'earthy' and quirky personalities and almost always have great communication skills so are great for banter etc. Compare this to white girls who generally are mopey and miserable. Often/always in a bad mood and their idea of having a strong personality is going out and getting wasted because that makes them CRAZY. The contrast is so great I often don't give white girls a 2nd look unless it's a free shag I don't have to work for. My aim is to land a beautiful Persian looking wife. The Sikh girls tend to be the best looking and have the best personalities. There are still many who are married off but more and more are becoming westernised and falling into the hands of the white man. Forget Pakistani they have some great girls too you are really talking a 1 in million chance of it working due to family/Islam. Even sex will be very tricky due to no sex before marriage/hymen rule. I once knew one when I was younger we engaged in some ruff and tumble but never the full lot due to that reason (although she would never admit that was the reason) she was one of the horniest girls I knew (probably due to this) she got married off eventually. Great girl though, knew her for 2 years beautiful never in a bad mood and had time for everyone. Leicester is absolutely full of Sikh women with trademark dark eye shadow etc an unlikely haven of beauty that city. I'm less enthusiastic about the southern Indian girls who are mainly Hindu and darker skinned. These are the types you often see in porno's (so I'm told). The best lookers are definitely Northern Indian/Pakistani/Afghani/Lebanese/Iranian. Uni is the best place to pull one many engage in a white guy relationship whilst away from home before being married off when they get back.
  19. Argggggh! So annoying the pages are taking ages to load and even then they are not loading properly. I can't seem to see any mention of it anywhere so hopefully this isn't just me. It's incredibly annoying and has been happening since the mini-meltdown after the Wigan match. Please acknowledge/fix this problem. Thanks
  20. It's worrying now for sure. Dunne out, Bent out. We must hope and pray the bottom teams don't start picking up points as I honestly can't see us winning any of our remaining games. It'll be ultra defensive hooofs upto Heskey to knock onto Gabby from here on in rest assured. We should still be ok if we pick up 4 or 5 draws but need to rely somewhat on the bottom teams remaining as poor as they've been all season.
  21. Bent out is a blessing? I guess we shouldn't be surprised at such ridiculous opinions as on this very thread previously people were saying we should get rid of him because he doesn't fit into Mcleish's style of play :bonk: As for the Injury don't think it's a break more a twist/sprain. 4 weeks out would be my guestimate.
  22. The comment he came out with yesterday about poor finishing and being happy with the chances we had was nothing short of a disgrace. He often uses this line. It's like he wants us to have some sub-human shot-to-goal ratio. We only had 3 shots on goal all match. I'm sure the average for one goal must be what 7 or 8 shots? What happened to the football we were playing against QPR and Newcastle? He came out after QPR saying he didn't ask his players to play like that and some guff about possession being no good without goals. Were Ireland and co revolting and playing their own way?
  23. Best thing to do is not renew until he's gone. Many are doing this anyway. Rest assured they'll soon listen then. The cost of getting rid of Mcleish will be peanuts compared to how much they'll lose in gate receipts. Best thing to do is spread the word about not renewing. If we can get them down by half that's a huge chunk of revenue. We're already loosing that of 4000 or so that aren't turning up this season. Liverpool's attendance when down to 30-35k at times under Woy, practicably unthinkable. If it's one language the Yanks understand it's money. Once he's gone obviously you can all go out and renew then. But obviously you need to think who you want as manager as finding a decent one at the moment is no easy task, as Wolves found out.
