A striker should always take it to get the rates up

As some might think on here, Baros wasn't exactly our first choice when it came to buying a striker. Beattie was our first, then came Bellamy and now we finally got Baros. The three B's. I go for Baros, Beattie was too similar to Angel and Bellamy isn't any better than Baros

I think he gets scared of the negativity going around at Villa Park, and decides to stay at Anfield and fight for his place. When he is 32-33 years old, he'll probably sign up.

He is a bluenose and a journey-man, perfect in a system last season, and I dear remind you that they relegated because of it. He is better than Vassell most likely, but I don't think he is much better at Vass would also score 14-19 Premiership goals for them, taking all them penalties.

Much of our heart and soul lies in his feet, I think. If we sell him and continue buying the Bergers and Phillips's.... then we become Birmingham. A squad filled with journey-men. He burns for Villa, and always will I think. He is fast and has enormous potential he has to exploit soon

Would just like to see what other people think about the whole thing concerning James Beattie and his transfer to Everton instead of us. He hasn't made an inpact at all, and being quite similar to Angel in terms of strengths and weaknesses, do you regret not signing him? My pick a BIG NO! I think it is marvellous that he went to them, so we still have the money to buy a much better and speedier striker with a better ratio

Stuart Downing is in contention of a possible United-bid, but they are priced away from it. At least now... don't think we'll see Barry down the left at Olf Trafford

If every manager in the Premier League, Primera, Serie A and even the Norwegian Tippeliga was to chose between Downing and Barry, I think 99% would pick Downing. Talking about Barry being better than Downing is just stupid. He is fast, he h has a great cross and he has tecnique. Barry is slow, works too little and has virtually no flair or tecnique. Id pick DOwning over Barry every day.

Robinson Cole Ferdinand Terry Johnson? Downing Gerrard Lampard Beckham Rooney Owen is surely the answer?

As a Villa-supporter and an England-supporter when it comes to International teams (next to Norway that is....)... I would be kind of worried if Barry entered the line-up. Barry instead of Downing? Give me a break. Barry is amongst the 10 best left midfielders in England, but England LACKS left midfielders and that says it all.
