Honestly don’t care.
Dont even think he’s done a bad job. (Changed from particularly shit)
But I can’t stand him for purely villa reasons.
I put a huge chunk of the blame squarely at his feet for Grealish’s departure. Be it true or not.
He feeds the ‘Big 6’ machine. His selection tactics promote player hoarding. Players that aren’t playing for the clubs should be encouraged to move and play - but this asshole promoted players to swap starring roles playing week in week out to sitting on ‘Big 6’ benches.
He bullshits because he doesn’t have the balls to say the truth. I’d have a lot more respect for him if he had just said ‘Grealish is not the kind of player that fits my system’ rather than come out with all the hypocritical crap about not having premier league experience - when he actually had - but proceed to pick Philips from the championship!
Utter prick. I want him gone.
This.

If people after one quiet game against England agree on Mbappe being overrated and not that good, then they’re all wrong I’m afraid.

Maybe I'll shut up if he scores a decent number of goals in the PL or Primera Liga.
But you do think he’s overrated and needs to score in the PL or Primera Liga to prove himself, yes?

Where's Chukwuemeka?
Licking his wounds after a defeat to Hartlepool at home.
Poor result.

Yes. We’ve established that. Does that mean he isn’t very good then?

So Emery rates him but Delphinho123 doesn't. Now I don't know what to think.
Exactly. Go with your head, mate. You know he isn’t good enough.

Pep would coach all the excitement out of him
You’re probably right!

Perhaps this also lowers my opinion of him too, there is winning and doing it with class.
I don't have to like him because some of you tell me too, you know that right?
Liking him and rating him are two different things.
You said in a previous post he wasn’t that good. Which is just ludicrous. He’s probably the best player on the planet and will likely to go on to break every World Cup record in the book.

Anyone who this Mbappe isn't the best attacker on the planet (maybe with Haaland) needs to stop watching football and pick a different hobby.
Haaland is fantastic and I’ve watched him a lot this season, but he isn’t as good as Mbappé. Mbappé has absolutely everything. Can you imagine him in that City team?!

He's sensational.
Amazing isn’t he. The way he slows players down and then just goes round them. It’s not just that, he’s fantastic with both feet and his end product is absolutely spot on. His crossing is fantastic.
He’s amazing to watch in full stride.

Was one of our better players against France. Odd take.

You got 2 penalties and the game should've been finished before the free kick for the Sterling push on Mbappe. Gimme a break
That push on Mbappe was mad at the end wasn’t it??! Nobody seemed to mention it but it was as clear a free kick as you’ll see. Honestly, at times, I think the ref was just tossing a coin on whether something was a foul or not. Just made some really bizarre decisions albeit I don’t think he was THAT bad.

Laughable isn’t it. The only argument against him is that he plays in France.
Anyone saying he isn’t a top, top player is just kidding themselves. He’s unstoppable. Best player in the world for me.

Yeah, right...
When he regularly starts performing in Primera Liga or the English PL then I'd agree with you.
Funny, many other posters seem to agree.
And yet Real Madrid don’t.

Not tonight he wasn't.
Yeh, ok. Fine. Maybe he wasn’t.
Still doesn’t mean he isn’t an unbelievable player. Id have him over any other player in the world in my team.

Pep isn't an international manager, same as klopp, wouldn't get enough time to get in the players heads
Agreed. They work to set systems and build a team for a few seasons to get to where they want to be. Both excellent at it.
International managers aren’t usually top managers. In fact, I honestly don’t know how hard the job is. Surely 90% of it is just picking the right team? Something Southgate fails to do 99% of the time.

Ian Wright and Gary Neville both basically saying the same. No surprise though.
Jobs for the lads. All pals in the setup etc.
Southgate hasn’t won a trophy. It’s that simple. He needs to move over and give someone else a turn.

Bizarrely, I’m less angry at him now than I was when we lost to Croatia and Italy in previous tournaments.
That said, regardless of tonight’s performance which I thought was very good, he has to go. Whenever we come up against a decent side in a tournament, we lose. The only anomaly being Germany.
It’s time for someone else to have a go. At best, he’ll be remembered as a manager that got fairly far in tournaments and brought some harmony to a young squad. At worst, a manager who was lacking tactically and rarely picked the right team.
Personally, I lean towards the latter. I don’t rate Southgate much at all as a manager and when he does leave, he won’t do much in the game.

I don’t care what your thoughts are on him, he should be starting for England, similar to the role Griezmann plays for France.
I honestly think we’d have won a tournament by now with a manager that played him more.

Perfecto.
Although tbh, what about LB also?
I like Digne but he lacks pace. That’s his main downfall. He’s also on 150k a week so I doubt we can buy someone else without selling him. Nobody is picking him up on those wages.

Luiz and Kamara are looking very good in that midfield area. I wouldn’t be spending money on improving this part of the side.
