  1. I know we've discussed this before but my friend at BAE still reckons the plane wasn't airworthy .. they fixed the airframe issues only to find the wing then needed a redesign .. the fuel pipe was suspect and I think he also said the landing gear was another disaster waiting to happen (this was a discussion down the pub where he said more than he should have but he is a fairly senior bod at BAE , not that it makes him correct but I think he has touch of being ITK ) Now i agree the scrapping and leaving a capability gap is barking ..more so as I can see us then going off and purchasing something off the Americans ... but the whole Nimrod thing is clearly not the MOD's finest moment
  2. I'm in the Just say NO to remakes camp
  3. actually I didn't know that ... I don't have a subscription , just went into it from Google news and read the story yep just tried it again through google and went straight into the article so clearly there is a flaw with the pay web site idea here
  4. you don't disappoint you get a F- minus for trying to use the same "jibe" that I use at you in a post back at me .. come on don't be soo lazy at least find your own insults :-) typical labour steal someone else's ideas and then try and pass it off as their own :-) Osbornes plans appear to be working and both the IMF and CBI have confirmed this , that you tried to use them to prove your point just makes it all the more humorous in the context of the new bank that was launched this week ... hasn't the party briefed you on a response for this yet
  5. indeed however neither of them are as good as the players they replaced plus we have also lost more than 2 first team players this close season I was "out" and I still am ... maybe you care maybe you don't ... true it's not just the actions of the board these past few weeks , there are other factors with football in general and I've fallen out of love with the game a little but rest assured the contempt Randy showed the fans recently with the McLeish appointment was certainly a major factor ..
  6. this week saw £600 million reason why you are wrong yet again
  7. Funny how you appear to be unable to read the part of my post that clearly states not aware the Tories also closed down Specsavers as part of the cuts :-)
  8. After the CBI gave Osbornes plans its endorsement the IMF have now ALSO endorsed his plans
  9. Hope to god you aren't a talent scout. as pointless posts go that is up there Seeing as Petrov has made rathera successful career in football one could suggest that my potential career as a talent scout stands a better chance than yours :winkold:
  10. Can respect Dennis as a player but he clearly can't pick a decent player if his life depends on it but saying that I think Petrovs legs have gone so THIS season he will struggle but previously he had been a class act for this club and easily the best CM midfielder at the club for the past few seasons
  11. the short answer is inflation the long answer will be copied off a website and posted in detail later :winkold:
  12. well done you made it to 2 words before the "d" word ..some form of record ? well seeing as the CBI don't post on Villatalk perhaps you could post these "questions" on their behalf ? because if the previous own goal you scored on this wasn't enough i'll give you another chance Today the CBI have said the Government should stick to its tough austerity package because repairing Britain’s battered finances was ‘vital’ to the recovery. ‘The economic outlook has become even more challenging, but we still expect the economy to continue to grow modestly this year and next,’ said CBI director-general John Cridland. ‘We do not believe the recovery has stalled. We will begin to make headway, but the rest of the year will be tougher than we thought.’ so where are they questionnaire Osbornes plans , if anything they appear to be endorsing it
  13. I told you why that wasn't what you wrote though , you actually said "The CBI are saying that Gideon's policies are not working " without posting any quotes to support that ..where as i gave you direct quotes a plenty .. you see how this works don't you ? sigh .. then give evidence , Osbornes policies have delivered a growth even if it is a smaller one than he wanted ... that doesn't necessarily mean they have failed .. you quote the labour stuck record of "plan B" and yet the CBI who moments earlier must have been on the approved labour source list (or have they since joined Murdoch on the evil list now that the article didn't support your claims :winkold:) clearly sate "it could be disastrous to switch course to a "Plan B" " sigh The Institute for Fiscal Studies said that "NHS (Health)" spending had increased in cash terms but had been frozen, in real terms so not a cut then ? Mr Davies, a close friend of Gordon Brown, has invested almost £1 million in a company which sells medical equipment over the internet ..The firm, UKprocure, aims to cash in on a government drive to make NHS chiefs buy supplies online. Its chairman, Chai Patel, is also a Labour donor. or PowderJect, whose chief executive, Labour donor Paul Drayson, could save £2million from a Budget tax break for vaccine developers you pick a subject and it will just come back and bite you or you could just post without the hypocrisy stuff and save yourself the embarrassment
  14. No ... you clearly used the word "oppress" and so ID cards , Smoking bans and other Orwellian policies introduced by Labour are perfectly valid , you raised the issue not me .. having scrapped ID cards I'm not really sure what oppression of the masses the Tories are actually supposed to be carrying out Paymasters ..yep Ed's paymasters in the Union got him elected ... his predecessors sold honours for cash and employed cronies of theirs into top position and so on .....i Now many many of us that post in these threads are happy to accept that it's cross party and they are all as bad as each other .. I'm not sure you've quite grasped that yet which is why your posts just get thrown back at you instead of debated ..nothing to do with deflection just more a case of "sigh" now since you mentioned it the CBI haven't said that Osbornes polices are not working ,indeed just a few hours ago CBI director-general John Cridland said the Chancellor's deficit reduction plans showed that the UK was serious about its long-term health AND they warned it could be disastrous to switch course to a "Plan B". "I can see nothing to be achieved by the Government changing its deficit reduction plans. "It's the very continuation of them that shows international money markets we're serious about the long-term health of the nation." "investor confidence had been eroded by the impasse in Washington and the failure of the eurozone to prevent the debt crisis from spreading " “It may be a lacklustre recovery, but with solid net trade contributions and the positive impact of business investment, the UK will remain on a growth track.” now you may call that deflection but that is actual quotes from the CBI , perhaps if you supplied direct quotes from them where they stated that Osbornes policies were not working we could discuss it further ? if you could do so without the use of "paymasters" " oppress" "Murdochs pocket" and so on then even better

    Top Gear

Must have hurt to have Collins back on the show after all the court cases and the name calling ..probably why Clarkson wasn't down for that sketch .. May not be as good as it used to be but it's still not a bad show and Clarksons rants and musings still make the show ... of course it's an act that he plays up to but it's part of what makes the show ... not the series is over ,would love to see him guest on Question time as he would be good value
  16. if you could post without words like "ideologically " "certain Tory posters" in every post then I'm sure we could but your not interested in that nor my answers so the pantomime may just as well continue Now after 3 ...Oh no he didn't
  17. well that's a new one from Labour HQ , of course smoke bans, anti-terror laws and ID cards weren't 't oppressive in any way shape or form were they ... no new buzz words from me , I think our friend the "h" word still fits the bill perfectly
  18. i'm sure the ref should have given a free kick for Andersons challenge on the half way line
  19. Thanks , I was merely showing how not all Tories are callous by giving it to you but seriously i don't set a limit so you can have many more , i've a feeling you may need them
  20. it would appear being" lost " is catching
  21. That the lates 'buzz' thing from party HQ, is it? one can't help but think of this
  22. I make it 1 deflect 1 spin 1 idealogical so think we will have to call this round a tie :-)
  23. Was it not the decision of the councils ? ..and clearly those *cough* labour *cough* councils have decided surestart is not one of their priorities .. or heaven forbid could they be cutting the funding for political gain? Good to see that Dave isn't allowed a holiday in Tuscany , maybe he should have gone to the socialist hotspot that is Aruba instead ? Maybe Ed should have a holiday instead of having vanity surgery , still it's not about image is it .... await the reply with 47 instances of the word "deflection" .. still at least Labours actions have eradicated the over use of the "hypocrisy" word :-)
