Take out Bowie and some other shocking performances and you might have a point. The acting alone in Inception and the Dark Knight makes them superior. All good flicks though.

Leo's final line in Shutter Island tops it of for me, very sad. Love the atmosphere and purposely naff effects, so give it that b movie feel.

Take out the visuals from Toy Story it would be pretty shit.

Its sandbox i.e GTA and Red Dead Redemption too.

Trailer is great.

Not really, they had an idea and the only way they could afford to do it was with a massive studio paying the costs. They still plan on making final film in the blood and ice cream trilogy with Edgar Wright, if they had sold out there would be no interest in that. Paul is ok, not a patch on Shaun or Fuzz; needs a script doctor but an ok way to spend a few hours nothing more and when yo have a trailer for Big Mommas House 3 before, then you realise it aint all bad.

Apparently True Grit would be a surprise because its not been nominated for editing. No film in the past 100 years or something has won best picture without been nominated for editing as well.

Went to see True Grit again today, thought it was even better After thinking Damon was a bit wishy washy first time, now i think he is great, doest overplay how he is a bit of a tit and its not thrown in our faces. Bridges is great and gets all the amusing lines. The Young lass is obviously great as well, and fine acting all round. Well made film and after seeing this and The Fighter a couple of times this just pips it for me, some great films up for the best flick at the Oscars. Both have great performances but True Grit has that little bit more substance, whilst the Fighter is just great performances on a very basic story. See both though!

I suppose if we win you might go back to not swearing about Houllier in every post. Before the Fulham game you were speaking sense again. Now its just abusive nonsense, give it a rest Mark; he has not been great but he hasn't burnt down Villa Park either the way you talk about him!

The directors cut adds more meh, its a slight improvement. Its still got Orlando Bloom in it though, who is one of the most terrible actors working today.

It already is a classic. If you dont like slow building drama with brilliant writing and acting though and want something a little quicker then you'll think its naff.

Oh and Downing and Walker should be ashamed of themselves for 2 of the worse dive attempts ever!

Lack leadership and lack fullbacks that dont fanny around and give it to the opposition. Decision making is poor with a lot of our players. Downing when is direct and runs at people is dangerous, only one doing it currently. Then will do completely opposite, and be absolute wank. Bent for some reason is like me at jumping to win the ball from goal kicks etc, i.e shit! We're trying to pass it and work space and not just hoof it, the CB's are slowly getting it. Get Young out on the wing being direct and running at folk. He doesn't do that anymore in the middle.

Which is both good and bad. Good that players are not completed foooked. Bad when trying to build relationships with your defensive or midfield partner for example.

Agreed, fine film very much enjoyed it. Also thought it was quite amusing with a good sense of humour.
