I don't get Ayew and I'm struggling to see why people are so impressed with him. Yes he puts in 110% effort and yes he wears his heart on his sleeve but why does he not get in the box? Several times today there was a knock down or a ball across the box and he was no where to be seen. I know people's opinions on Gabby but you can guarantee if played he would be in the box and on the end of these chances. Surely it's time to give Gabby a chance? He's no worse than we have already

Garde has always said he wants to build from the back and he is now doing that with the run we are on. Unfortunately it is not enough as we need to start putting away our chances. We don't need one Striker we need 2 and if Gestede has pulled his hamstring he will be out for at least 4 weeks. It's sad that both Strikers we could have bought in the summer have both scored today (Austin & Afobe). I'm looking forward to the rebuilding in the Championship but am not sure we will bounce straight back up

Charlie Austin for 4 million is a steal if you can keep him fit. Don't see Long leaving as the rumour is Pelle leaving to go back to Italy. What a game of football, I wasn't expecting to see a game like that this season and at long last Remi has all 11 players singing off the same Hymn Sheet. If we can carry this very fragile confidence into the next game the only way is up! Kozak needed 90 minutes and came close to scoring, imagine what he will be like with another 2 or 3 games under his belt. Just feel that Afobe would offer more upfront with Ayew than Gestede. With Afobe going wouldn't surprise me if Gabby will move to Wolves

Why is Fox not on the phone to Wolves to try and get Afobe, at 10 million he is a bargain considering we will be in the championship next season. Pay 10 million and give them Gestede as part of the deal. When are the board going to realise that Ayew can't keep the club up on his own

I was thinking the same thing, get Ainsworth in the coaching set up as Asst Manager and then when Garde moves on give him the Managers job. Showed passion kicking every ball on the side line and his tactics were spot on. I would get him I asap

I honestly feel sorry for those that have made the journey up to Sunderland, I take my hat off to you! I turned off when we went 2-1 down as knew that was it and any hope of survival had gone. Scumhampton away was always going to be a tough game and on their day Scumhampton are a very good side. To get a point away after the 6-1 thrashing last season is definitely a step in the right direction. Villa did a brilliant job today and its a well earned point! (As is said in last weeks Ratings & Reactions I could see us getting some points out of the next 3 games and we've started with a point) We are becoming a team with ideas and this is obviously down to Garde and the coaching being done at Bodymoor. Yes we rode our luck in the first 20 minutes but you could see the team grow in confidence and once the belief was there then they started playing football. Its a long road to get out of this position but I honestly believe that if we carry today's confidence into the next 2 games we could get another 4 points on the board which would help close the gap before the January window when unfortunately Mr Lerner we are going to need investment. Arsenal at home next week is a huge game but you can guarantee Remi will have the team fired up as he would love to get one over on his former boss. I just hope we have a solution to the LB role as Bacuna will get ripped apart by Ozil and the like, perhaps play Gabby in front of Richardson as Gabby will track back to cover. Keep the faith Villa will improve and will fight until the final whistle of the 38th game of the season!!! Villa til I die UTV
