  1. Has this link found its way onto VT today?
  2. I'm not that into boxing but Freddy Roach seems like a bit a legend, am I right?
  3. They are so freaking bad though and have no money.
  4. Depends how you define that... last time I looked the main objective to football was to put the ball in the oppositions net more than the opponent puts it in yours... if Barcelona can't do that, then it doesn't matter what type of football they play. Chelsea went to the Nou Camp and kept a clean sheet - something no team's done since 1742*. Had they gone there to play the freeflowing attacking football then they'd probably have been destroyed. It was up to Barcelona to break Chelsea down - not for Chelsea to roll over for Barcelona just because 'they play better football'. Chelsea were playing some brilliant stuff today with Anelka and Drogba... If they can defend as well as they did in the first leg, and if those 2 link up that well again this week then they're perfectly capable of getting the final.. *not really true. While I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you, Barcelona would rather lose then play like Chelsea did last Tuesday. That is their footballing philosophy.
  5. WELL IF THEY CANT BREAK THEM DOWN, TOUGH SHIT. Well I'm not a fan of anti-football.
  6. If Chelsea win on penalties after another 0-0 it will be a tragedy.
  7. very little from what i can see - theyve gone and brought a lot of those in on the cheap. They are still paying them massive massive wages. You can't play the money card crying "Chelsea cost more!" when you are paying out huge sums yourself. And Chelsea were still afraid, that's what matters. Half the Barca team were homegrown as well.
  8. Can you blame them? Most teams in the Champions League would settle for a draw in the away leg... especially against Barcelona who are so strong at home. If they had gone to Barcelona trying to win they'd have got battered... as it stands now they will be favourites to progress to the final. Barcelona didn't adapt to Chelsea play quickly enough and were still trying to pass it through them.. which wasn't working due to sheer numbers back, and Barca didn't realise this. Only in the 85th minute did they start putting longer balls into the box and crossing, and they nearly scored 2 as a result, including a real sitter from Bojan. It wasn't as if Barce were unlucky.. or missed shitloads of chances, or had refereeing decisions go against them.. they were just made to look extremely ordinary and Chelsea deserve full credit for that. That's all well and good except that Chelsea team was put together for hundreds of millions and were still afraid to attack. Barca are still favourites, Chelsea have to stop them scoring and try and score themselves.
  9. Fingers crossed you get **** battered at the Emirates. You're lucky Arshavin isn't going to be playing, because given their current form in the league, they'd probably tear you another arsehole. Mate, this is going to be another United year. What's with the smilie?
  10. He's one of their best players and one of the most gifted players on the planet. Anyone who doesn't mention him hasn't a clue basically. Well, exactly. But there's a lot of people who don't have a clue and a lot of them are in prominent punditry positions.
  11. Watch Iniesta do the damage tonight. He's brilliant and gets little mention outside of Spain.
  12. So hands up who hasn't actually watched Barcelona yet this year?
  13. No you wouldn't touch the ball. Eto'o is amazingly good but that put down always comes out about him. I really hope Barca do it, they should win based upon form. The English pundits seem to be a bit dismissive of them because they haven't played an English team yet so I hope they annihilate Chelsea.
  14. Lionel Messi 08/09 goals Some stunners, some tap ins, some penalties, some luck. His control, touch and coolness in front of goals is what stands out.
  15. I never said they don't develop talent, I said they don't have to rely on developing talent like we do. At £26 mill, Rooney was hardly raw talent anyway. Wenger does like to nurture talent but can also sign the likes of Arshavin to get him out the shit. Another small factor you may want to consider is Wenger has had almost 10 years to MONs 3. 12 and a half years actually.
  16. Lead down to 7 points. After a draw and a loss. It sure can change fast. Real Madrid won 6-1, and were winning by that score at half time.
  17. So you believe Adam and Eve existed? Goodbye credibility.
  18. I have to say that the vast majority of christians don't literally believe in the bible and are not told to either. Adam and Eve for example is a fable. Of course I don't believe in any of it but that's irrelevant.
  19. They signed Keita and Caceres as well for big money. Caceres never plays. Not sure what is going on there. But it seems to all stem from Guardiola being some kind of genius.
  20. I was drinking some Sierra Nevada Bigfoot last night. 9.6% volume. I like.
  21. I wish New Years was in April or some other boring month. As it is 2 holidays get squashed together with New Years over shadowed by Christmas.
