  1. I think there are big differences between Di Matteo and Garde; Garde came from french league having managed OL for three seasons, and he was/is relatively unknown. Garde has also just managed one club before but Di Matteo has been in several, so he's seen how different clubs operate and has (hopefully) learned from it. RDM also has some real achievements under his belt so he probably has more of the foundation to build the respect from the players.
  2. @Deisler123 Here's another good one:
  3. Are there really any managers who has experience in rebuilding the team?
  4. "Telegraph understands" aka "We need more clickbait!" I think only thing which would cause concerns are criminal record etc obvious stuff, and if that's referencing Samuelson, he haven't been convicted or even charged for anything.
  5. I've always been kinda underwhelmed by his demeamour in the side of the pitch and in the interviews, and haven't seen him very charismatic nor strong personality. Hopefully he proves me wrong. If he is chosen as our manager, the fans gotta stand behind him.
  6. What about Mixu Paatelainen? He's free on the market.
  7. I doubt it's LVG and I implied (or tried to) that someone who wasn't interested before or didn't want to negotiate while season was still going on.
  8. I wonder if someone they considered suddenly became available, and going back to interview them etc if the announcement/choosing the manager has been pushed back.
  9. He probably saw couple of Jack's videos from AVTV God bless Jack's soul, he is likeabl in his own way but he's not exactly someone I'd have as public face for premier league team.
  10. I wonder if he meant to say "eighteen" instead of "eighty", but even if it'd be eighteen, it'd be helluva lot of money.
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if they announce the new manager at 28th day, as AFAIK number 8 symbolizes luck or good fortune to the chinese.
  12. Could be just that the takeover isn't completely rubber stambed yet, as it has to go through PL and FL.
  13. When can we get Make Aston Villa Great Again caps, and from where?
  14. People from CNN acting like a proper rocket polishers? Color me shocked!
  15. When it comes to his Harvard records being made private, or secrecy around his wealth etc, it doesn't mean he has anything to hide, it could just mean that he likes privacy. If I'd be rich, I'd certainly do anything I could to minimize any public information you could find about me or my wealth, why should they be open for public anyway? The less info there's about you in public, the better, for anyone, doesn't matter if you are poor as **** or rich as hell.
  16. Where has it been reported that Pearson has turned us down?
  17. You people should listen to the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition, especially the rule number 190 when it comes to the rumours: "Hear all, trust nothing."
  18. Pulis? **** NO! I'd rather take MON back than get Pulis, that's how shit I think Pulis is.
  19. I'd still like to see Bernd Schuster as our manager, he likes to play attacking football and he is kinda crazy so at least it wouldn't be boring. Besides, he looks like my old phys.ed teacher from elementary school who was mean S.O.B. One of the reasons why I wouldn't want british manager is that in my experience they're not the most tactically astute managers, and we need someone with strong personality, and who knows how to deal with the players from different nationalities. Not sure Pearson is that man, although my friend who's from Leicester, used to praise him before this season, haven't asked his opionion since the last summer though.
  20. Clickbait, it's pretty quiet on the footballing front at the moment I think, beside the LVG/Mourinho switch so they have to fill up the columns somehow. I have very grim view of the so-called "journalists", especially in the british media, and it's easy to beat someone who's already down. From what I've gathered, there's also a LOT of regional politics between London/Manchester/Liverpool vs. rest of the England, so that probably plays the part in this too.
  21. Not too bothered about Moyes not coming, he feels a bit too much of old-fashioned and "old school" manager for modern football. I'd still prefer someone from abroad with enough experience, and who knows english football. I wouldn't actually mind Quique Sánchez Flores coming to Villa as he had surprisingly good season with Watford.
  22. Also I doubt rich people have their money on a single account, so that's not probably his only account.
  23. I agree, our PR-department is shockingly poor. Just the 'small' mistakes like "Remy" debacle should not happen.
