From 75 minutes we looked like a team that could keep hold of the ball. By that time though we were lucky to still be on level terms, after being lucky with a deflected shot to be level. We made nothing in terms of clear cut chances and our work in the final third was poor. We were under the cosh for long periods until we realised that keeping the ball meant they wouldn't be putting us under pressure. Nowhere near good enough. Onomah was our best player, he needs more people around him on his wavelength. Not impressive, we now need to win a few on the bounce to not be totally left behind. Poor.

Onomah and Whelan coudl turn into a very good pair, I think they are better behind a trio of more attacking minded midfielders/forwards, that works with one up top and 4 at the back, or two up top with 3 at the back...

I'm all for being positive, but that was a horrific cross with time and space, players to find in the box, one on the edge. Could have carried it 20 yards if he'd wanted too. I didn't say bring him off, but that was awful

Still below 2 points a game (just) which we need to be hitting this season to get automatic promotion. He has a lot to do still! 5 from 15 and 4 from 15 are both appalling with the resources at his disposal this season.

...and chased shadows for long periods when we didn't have the ball and seem to have the same allergic reaction to possession that we've had for a long time now. Great we carried a threat, great we saw something good from Green, Davis, Hourihane, more than great, a totally amazing transformation from totally toothless to looking dangerous when we went forward nearly every time. We have to temper that with the fragility at the back, exaggerated by the fact that we just gave the ball back so often for them to keep and put us under pressure. Zero ability to manage the game because we couldn't manage the ball. Its awesome to be able to talk about some positives, and the chances created and goals scored were incredibly positive changes from the norm. We should not ignore the fact that this display good though it was, had a lot of problems in it and that these problems have been problems for a long time. Bruce needs to go on a consistent run and address these problems till he wins me round again. Not one game, not 5, but a proper run of decent football and results. If we are to even consider automatic promotion it's the requirement

The ball he played for the second goal was amazing but we left him to run across our box from one side to another unchallenged and then put no pressure on him so he had ages to think about where to put it. Murphy was class but we were terrible at the back at times yesterday.

They deserve credit for the win, and managing to score some goals, it wasn't a top performance though. It was a lot better than we'd seen so far this seaon other than the first 45 minutes against Hull, but it wasn't a top performance. We looked disorganised at the back, Murphy cut us apart whenever he wanted, we spent ong periods of the game just chasing shadows while they knocked it about We coudln't keep hold of the ball (again) and that invited pressure back on us far too much and so we conceded needless goals when we should have been comfortable. If you don't manage possession you can't manage the game, and we totally failed to manage the game twice with two goal leads. Goals were great, Green's especially was something else. Davis was exceptional when he was expected to struggle, Hourihane turned up. There were loads of positives, but we looked a long way off finished article to me, and a long way off where we need to be.

Even though we improved in terms of shots on goal and attempts at goal, we managed the game horribly through an inability to keep the ball. We'll never keep pressure off the back 4 if we can't keep the ball better. With Hutton on the pitch we were opened up at will by a ball to Murphy. We did not look solid. Fair play to Bruce for a home win by a couple of goals, it was great to see some of our kids playing well and hohrihane firing. We are a long way off looking like a team though and Bruce should have sorted that out by now. Winning the next one will be more significant. If Bruce manages to put a run together then fair enough. He has a LOT of work to do.

Great we got the 3 points, great we scored some goals. Still too poor in possession, and worryingly badly organised at the back. We really, really need to improve but if we do then that's credit to Bruce, if we lose at Bristol though he can still sod off
