  1. great tackle by reo. brave seeig as hes on a yellow. Please sign a new contract!
  2. So much money at stake in this game in terms of prize money. BBC says that goal may gain us £3mill. Not bad eh?
  3. Whilst i'd like to see some youth play i think we have to field our strongest tea. We could gain nearly 5/6 places today if results go our way. Thats alot of differnence in prize money and would make this season seem alot better than it has been (top ten finish doesn't sound too bad). Plus could help in the transfer market.
  4. Need him to socre today. had a bet when he signed that he'd score 10 league goal for villa this season. If he does i will use the money for next seasons home shirt with his name on the back. don't let me down darren!
  5. The eyebrows are a major pulling factor for me too.
  6. Santa Cruz was only 3.5million - hardly expensive Wright Phillips - sold to chelsea for 21 million and then biguth back for 8.5 million. Not bad if you ask me. wayne Bridge - 10million for Englands 2nd best left back at the time Lescott.....no comment :winkold: but don't forgot signings like GTevez, Kompany adn de Jong who have been superb! I still never rated him as a "great" manager..To me he is your run of mill Prem manager..He wont take us down, he wont take us into the top 4...He may give us a good cup run and challenge the top 6..We should be looking to get a better manager that has good scouting, developing, building skills. Houllier would have been ideal for the summer and next season but his nfuture with us looks pretty unlikely..We need to go all o0ut and get one of; Moyes or Rijkaard..I feel both would add a bit more than Hughes. Hughes has never been given the chance to be a great manager. During his 4years at Blackburn he made them into a formidable team who were in Europe and in domestic cup finals. He just didn't have the funds to push on. Whilst at when given the Man City role he was being headhunted by Vhelsea. He was only given a year and a half at city were he took them to European and domestice cup quarter and semi finals. He beat the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona! and was only sacked due a dispute with the Board and owners. He would have lead the team to success like Mancinni has, perhaps even more. ( Then again most people could do well at city with the money they have) Give him 5 years and the right investment ad he will be a great manger with a great team.

  8. headquaters on a double xp weekend is practically 1 level a game even at the 30+ mark.
  9. Don't forget Baines and Rodwell!
  10. Most contracts in Football end/renew in June which is when i thnik everything will take shape. Clasues will become active (like Hughes) and various other factors come into play. Furthermore it allows for a much 'cleaner' termination of Houllier's contract with villa. I doubt things will be announced on Sunday but people's actions and words may give hints hopefully
  11. This'll never happen. Look at the poll, only 48% of us want Moyes, the other 52% will moan? Arguably. One thing is for absolute certain, you cannot please all of the people all of the time. So why try? Maybe we need the alternative vote then. I'd prefer proportional representtion. Have 50% moyes, a slice of Jol, Hughes, Coyle etc to make the 'perfect' manager!
  12. Hughes does excite me as a manager. I think he will give the team a spark.........

    Kenya

Me and a friend have booked a 9 day safari in Kenya and are then spending a few days in Mombasa this August. Anyone got any experience or tips for us? Places we should visit and things to do etc. Thanks
  16. Agreed. Although would that be classed as tapping up?
  17. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/fulham/8524620/Fulham-face-race-against-time-to-tie-up-new-contract-for-manager-Mark-Hughes.html
  18. Hughes has never really been given long enough to fully establish himself. The closest he came was with Blackburn where he took them from a relegation battling team to a top 10 team in cup finals. If he was give 5 years like MON was it would very interesting to see what he could do.
  19. Hopefully with a full pre season under his belt he will be amazing as well then
  20. Man City could've got De Jong for free at the end of the season (he was in the last year of his contract) but instead chose to buy him for £18m in the January transfer window. Shows how rich they are really... Hamburg must have been laughing all the way to the bank
  21. I'm sold. Someone email that off to Randy...
  22. I read on the bbc sport website that his (Hughes) contract with Fulham runs out on June 1st and new contract talks have stumbled. Wouldn't mind Hughes at all, think it would be a 'safe' option but also with potential to push on if given the right support by randy.
