  1. Yeah, that's where I was going with my question. I was wondering if they have some import taxes on phones in Slovenia.
  2. Your ratings and reactions please. Keep it respectful even if you know everyone else is wrong. 3. There is prior art for all of the patents Apple were pushing, even "bounceback". A frankly bizarre decision which I hope gets put right on appeal. After this decision Motorola have little choice but to block the import of Apple devices to the US.
  4. Confirmed is too strong a word, the fixtures can be changed at very short notice (even on the day in bad weather). Sky, BT, the club, the FA and the police can all request games are moved for any reason.
  5. None, sorry. For comparison how much would a Samsung Galaxy S2 or a Galaxy Nexus cost you?
  6. NB. I believe this only works from outside the EU.
  7. Thanks Conor, but I really don't care about the Page ranking, it's more the threats from various bully boys. Even the FA's legal dogs have threatened to prosecute me in the past.
  8. Thanks for the suggestion, but the Terms of Use of the site (linked at the foot of every page and agreed to by all users when they sign up for an account) clearly say that you must not use the site for anything illegal. I think this is a off topic, but there is no site policy specifically covering streaming. Streaming isn't illegal as long as you have the permission of the rights' holder. This thread isn't the place to discuss site policy so please start another thread if you'd like to discuss either of these subjects.
  9. I suspect it's the whole of Europe, but it's definitely true in England, Wales and Scotland. It's not relevant though, ripping is illegal in the UK and the site/servers are in the UK so please don't talk about it.
  10. No, I've never bought locked in media so I can't assist with that at all. This was discussed recently when Stevo converted his stuff, but I'm sure someone will post it into this thread where it'll be more accessible. 90% is CDs I have imported. Ripping CDs where you are not the owner of the copyright is illegal in the UK. I am choosing to read this as if you have ripped CDs of music where you own the copyright in that music. To prevent confusion please don't mention this again on the forum.

  12. Can I just point out that "we" don't recommend Windows Media Player. I recommend you don't use Windows. For anything. And Conor, you meant 90 degrees, not 180, but it is a useful tip :-)
  13. Sorry Tamuff, but if you're the only one affected, it suggests a problem at your end. Please try clearing out cookies and temp internet files (or whatever IE calls this nowadays) or use a another browser.
  14. If it's doing that, then you have a problem with the phone. I'll verify if mine does the same if I get an opportunity, but I suspect it will. My employer has it's own Vodafone APN and so wiping them from the device on SIM change is actually a good idea for security.
  15. It shouldn't be irritating now you know that it makes no difference to anything.
  16. I don't believe it's anything to do with the operator, and I think it'll change once play notices you are on a different MVNO.
  17. I can't say I've noticed the deleting of APNs, but I don't have another SIM to try this on mine at the moment. When I first booted mine with my giffgaff SIM, it offered the o2 and tesco APNs.
  18. Conor, are you sure your handset has been changed by o2? I've asked someone who knows more than me and they say that to change what you describe would require flashing the device. The handset will recognise the giffgaff SIM as an o2 MVNO SIM and is presenting the APNs for o2 (and tesco?) by default. It's not a branding. giff gaff isn't big enough yet to be recognised by handset manufacturers, so they offer the matching network operator and any MVNOs they do know about.
  19. Mine just says "Samsung GT-I9300", nothing else. This is with a GiffGaff SIM. Where did you get your phone?
  20. I called to today to buy mine after reloading the page during the morning and the person on the phone didn't know ticketmaster was down. again.
  21. I can't see that, where on the site is it?
  22. I suspect the old code on VT is doing something odd with its cookies. That won't be fixed until I can spend some time sorting things out. It happens on my Nexus 7 too, so I don't think it'll be fixed in the OS :-(
  23. Presumably that's because the launcher has been housekept and needs to be restarted. I've noticed something vaguely similar when the browser has to reload (marking all of VT read) even when it's been backgrounded for just a short while.
  24. If MS subsidise one manufacturer, they will seriously piss off the others.
  25. Who do they say is subsidising it?
