State of decay

Anyone got this? Open world Zombie RPG. Tried the demo and it was pretty good. Few little bugs here and there, but overall it was decent. Xbox live arcade game too.

Undead Labs the guys who make the game have already said they're making a multiplayer version.

It's out now mate. 1600 Ms points. Like i said, it's still a little buggy, but nothing unplayable. Getting decent ratings though.

I'm finding it a bit tough going at the moment.  I'm probably being a bit of retard, but now I've got 3 controllable characters I have no idea how to get them to come with me on supply runs.  Also, where the f**k do you find materials for doing up your home?

Figured out I had to go to a construction site to get building materials (duuuhhhh! kopfpatsch.gif), then found absolutely bugger all after hiding all night in a bush to avoid a passing horde.  FMZA*.

For realsies though, how do you the funky subtext BBcode?  And don't tell Limpid I asked a "how to" question outside the Site Issues forum; he'll kill me, eat my liver and use my toenails to make a necklace.  Probably.

Edit:  Wait, I see it.  I see it. :hooray:

Finally had that crystallizing moment where a game gets it's teeth sunk into you at the weekend, been playing it non-stop since.  They don't half make it hard work getting into, though.  I suppose you could argue the omission of a comprehensive tutorial is a conscious stylistic choice, but f**k me does it leave one steep learning curve.  I'm at the stage where I need to move home to somewhere bigger, found a perfect industrial estate in the south that'd look nigh-on impregnable with enough well placed outposts.  Tried moving there, got told we didn't have enough materials so had to farm for those.  In the interim, the number of survivors at home got whittled down when the sheriff shot another survivor because he showed plague symptoms, then the sheriff started showing 'em and asked me to take him into the woods Old Yeller style and shoot him the back of the head.  After that I'd gathered enough materials for the move, only to be told we can't relocate as we now don't have enough survivors to defend a larger base.  ARGH!  :bang:

Amazing game though, especially for the price.  Slap some better graphics on it and I'd have happily paid £40.  Would go as far to say it's my game of the year thus far.

This game has it's bugs and framerates issues but it's damn fun and addictive to play. The game has loads of potential. If this is their first attempt at this type of game then I welcome what they can do on a bigger budget and possibly multiplayer. :D

F**king feral zombies.  Lost my first survivor yesterday.  He was super-levelled up and my best cook.  Godfreakingdamnit.   :bang:

On the plus-side, I highly recommend getting the pro-wrestling specialisation for your characters as soon as they hit that level.  You can spinebuster a zombie to death.  Literally spinebuster their heads off.
