Malta in 3 weeks!

First 4 days dedicated to a Rat Race event, running across Gozo, kayaking to mainland Malta via Comino and then cycling about 56km across the mainland.

Remaining 4 days rest and recreation and catching up with a friend who moved out there 13 years ago. Staying in Valletta within the City walls.

Loved it there. I have a keen interest in the Knights of St John and the Templars. Enjoyed Valletta (what a view from the gardens) Did the silent city's   etc. Got a bit themed out in the end. Found an incredible restaurant in Slima  on the water front across from Valleta THE CHOP HOUSE

Three weeks tomorrow off to Southern Italy with Mrs T a holiday we treated ourselves to from inheritance my mom left us. Something not tried before. Stay at Bari and then coach trips out to Apulia, Cisternino, Ostuni and Alberobello Tours of Lecce and the cave network at Matera.  Fully escorted by a friendly, experienced tour manager.

Get two days rest in-between but Mrs T has planned more trips. No time for the Villa on this one. But I will of course be carying my AV backpack and wearing warm Villa jacket

Has anyone been to these places

This time belek in Turkey, I don't mean the guests I mean the staff, the receptionists, the bellboy, the waiters, even the bus driver from the airport its all German

Guess when I lived in England I never appreciated this type of thing existed
