leviramsey Posted October 22, 2009 VT Supporter Share Posted October 22, 2009 LET'S GO PHILLIES! (and that's not just because I'll cheer for anyone playing the Yankees)
Vojskovoda
Yankees batsmen have been abysmal... just playing very defensively and have never looked any sort of threat. Lackey has been pitching very intelligently mixing it up with lots of variety, but there's still no excuse for how poor Yankees have been and don't deserve anything out of tonight's match. kurtsimonw
Yankees are back in the game, 4-3 Anels top of the 7th. EDIT: Make it 4-4. What a 7th from the Yankees. EDIT: Make it 6-5. @ Anaheim.
Vojskovoda
Yeah... a few moments later after I've said Yankees batsmen have been poor they have hit back and are drawing 4-4. How uncanny...
kurtsimonw
How do you go from 4-0 up to 6-4 down with 2 outs?
Vojskovoda
Oh dear... LA Angles have totally lost the plot.
Vojskovoda
6-6!!! What a gane this has turned out to be... going to be a really exciting finish.
kurtsimonw
Are the pitchers trying to let the other team win? This is horrible stuff from both of them. Angels now lead.

It's amazing how bearable Buck is in comparison to his NFL commentary. He works about 160 baseball games a year (and has essentially been practicing calling baseball since he was a young lad... his dad, who also called NFL games, was a baseball man first and foremost) vs. around 20 NFL games a year. Baseball also demands a different style of commentary than gridiron. (you get a sense of how shit the astroturf plus sliding pits school of cookie-cutter field design was)

Vojskovoda
I've got a gut-feeling Yankees are going to nick this in the top of the 9th... three Yankee base runners right now.

I just found him a little.. dull in NFL games, it makes it worse that he seems to be in love with Aikman!
