Yankees batsmen have been abysmal... just playing very defensively and have never looked any sort of threat. Lackey has been pitching very intelligently mixing it up with lots of variety, but there's still no excuse for how poor Yankees have been and don't deserve anything out of tonight's match.

You guys getting the Fox commentary from Joe Buck and Tim McCarver?

Yeah. It's amazing how bearable Buck is in comparison to his NFL commentary.

He works about 160 baseball games a year (and has essentially been practicing calling baseball since he was a young lad... his dad, who also called NFL games, was a baseball man first and foremost) vs. around 20 NFL games a year.

Baseball also demands a different style of commentary than gridiron.

(you get a sense of how shit the astroturf plus sliding pits school of cookie-cutter field design was)

Yeah, I quite like him as a baseball commentator, he suits it. I just found him a little.. dull in NFL games, it makes it worse that he seems to be in love with Aikman!
