This could have been a great night, great weather, great setting, well organised. Whilst it was a good night out - the rapturous applause which greeted the well known songs - was in stark contrast to muted applause that greeted most of his solo tracks - it left the whole evening feeling a bit flat... Although I don't listen to him much these days (including The Jam and Style Council stuff), I've seen him live a few times, and he'll generally play his most recent stuff with a few oldies chucked in. leemond2008 Posted July 12, 2014 Share Posted July 12, 2014 I think it depends on what selection of his solo stuff he is playing, I love a lot of his stuff but his last few albums have been difficult to get on with, they just sound like an oldish man going through the motions with no real spark.
