  4. Nice positive thread.. haha Come'on guys, we beat them last year. We could sneak a 1 nil..
  5. That bloke with the drum is annoying to say the least. I'm sure it was last seasons trip up there that had a big artical about him in their program. I suppose he's the most exciting thing happening at the DW stadium for wigan fans. Yeah, my Mrs was going mad about that drum. I found the chants of `stick your drum up your arse' and `wheres your drumming now' were good..
  6. Jeez, talk about `shit support my lord' and `empty seats my lord'.. it was embarrasing there last night for Wigan.
  7. you live round the corner and `might' turn up? :?

  13. Parkings okay mate, big car park just for away fans I think near to the ground..
  14. General, Sorry to re-iterate my question but when will the ticketing website be updated so we can pick our own seats for the games? Ive seen it on United's eticketing site, and now even Wigan have it before us! The ticketing website is also a pain, sometimes it wont allow you to book seats even though you have the correct amount of booking history etc.. Have a nice day.
  15. Looking forward to this, we could build on the city game here, perfect opp. On another subject, I always end up standing next to some muppet who dont wanna sing at away games, its annoying to hear the noise coming from a certain area - and im not there.. grrr! Im just gonna go stand with the noisy **** on tuesday.. haha
  16. yeah I noticed that word removed also. He did not look happy at all sat on the bench. What a waste of a player, hope he sat there the entire game thinking `what did I do?'.. but he really was thinking about his next car or holiday.
  17. Welcome back, Any news on updating the ticketing site so we can pick exactly where we sit when we buy tickets? Wigan have the new system in place on the eticketing website which we run on, and I must say im pretty emabarrased to look at ours compared to theres! Cheers
  18. Against Everton at the weekend it was sung while the Everton players were on the pitch, not waiting in the Tunnels. They didnt have to stand to attention as such, but why should they wait untill they have finished singing before they kick off? Singing while in the tunnels obviously I get, but as soon as the players hit the pitch it should be time to get started surely? Was the same against us aswell in December, Villa players on the pitch having to wait untill the end of the song before they could kick off..
  19. I don't think it's plastic or copying Liverpool (they've just obviously the easiest example to give). If it gets the crowd pumping before a game and gets the majority of the crowd singing along, then it can only be a plus. I don't see how it can be labelled as plastic, at all. Some games this year, it seems like people have wanted to sing.. but we're all too deflated to get it going constantly (it could be due to the performances.. but still). If we actually had an "anthem" that was played before the game and people started singing along, it could improve the atmosphere of the whole game and get more of the crowd chanting during the game. if only more people thought like this. I've said it for years. The atmosphere is flat because we generally have very few chants, and when you take ones out with swearing, it's pretty small too. Summed up by us singing John Carew Carew, when he wasn't even in the ground. I dont actually think we are that bad for chants compared to some of the other grounds. Have you heard it at the likes of Blackburn and Wigan? You could fall asleep, Villa Park compared to them is like a noisy nightclub on a Saturday night.
