    I can't see Spurs letting him go in January unless they have an instant replacement lined up. That would leave them with Defoe, Berbatov & Mido up front (unless I'm forgetting someone) and Mido has been linked with a move away this window also. Well with Spurzzzzz reportedly entering the race for St Etienne striker Frederic Piquionne who knows hey?!??!?!?!?

    Totally agree, Lauren would have been a very good signing for us. Shame!

    Yah Id love to see him in our team too. Cant see him going for £5.5 mill though, thats just the fee someone would need to pay to activate the clause in his contract, I think the fee would be higher. Probably closer to £7-£8mill when you consider whats Young has been valued at!!!

    Doubt the barcodes would let Parker go, and im sure Glen Johnson is on a season long loan at Portsmouth so would Chelsea really be able to sell? Id be happy getting in: Milner Bridge SWP + a striker Those additions would give us some pace and even more stability at the back plus some more goal pwoer

    I honestly donmt think we'll hear anything until the takeover has been agreed, or when Villa say somethging to the LSE becuase I fear media attention will start to drop off now

    Cheers Bicks, the SSN interview where Doug basicly said he was going to sell in next couple of weeks? This interview relaxed me about the TO becuase its pretty good to hear Doug come out and activly say 'yes I want to sell' again, especially after the last few weeks and to hear he is in ongoing negotiations. Im not a hige fan of the bloke but im pretty sure he was telling the truth there, and that he defo wants to sell which has got to be like music to the ears of fans and potential buyers.

    I dont think he was there at all but he would have been definately keeping a watch on the developments just like the other consortiums. Hopefully Lerner has seen how passionate we are about our football and more importantly about our club

    Are we 100% sure on this or are we basing our comments on media speculation and rumour? I never heard any quotes from MON saying he was 'furious' with Ellis? Dont get me wrong im far from pro Ellis, its just im so worn down by being excited then being let down over the past sevceral weeks that im basically questioning anything I read or hear about the TO etc But the sad fact is that HE IS!!! :shock: How do we know this? Because ellis is still in charge and ellis is still the chairman (crys as he writes that :cry: )
