  1. Why doesn't the UK have any ability to deal with snow? We always run out of grit really early! Where do our grit reserves GO? Obviously not with our cricket side.
  2. I put po-lah to write it out as it's said. I do preonounce the r at the end!
  3. Po-lah, not powlar Al-mond not oll-mond Po-land not Pow-land You'll soon get the hang of it!
  4. My dad grew up in Nuneaton, so I doubt it's a Brummie thing, particularly as I used to have a Brummie accent.
  5. When people pronounce almonds as "oll-monds". It annoys me, no reason why. my dad does it though.
  6. Anyway, another thing that pisses me off are calculators without an "Eng"button.
  7. Paradox, so no answer, as if he's lying he is telling the truth but if tells the truth he's not lying. Wouldn't trust him either way.
  8. So you believe every pledge spouted by a politician? You take every word as gospel? I certainly don't, in fact I tend to not believe anything politicians say.
  9. So its the Lib Dems who the students are angry at? Weren't they attacking a Tory HQ building though the other week? :? So going on a protest and causing criminal damage is okay now, because its okay to go on a march whenever the government **** you over? As I said, I'm unhappy at the price of my car insurance, but what I'm doing to counter it is working slightly longer hours to get a bit extra money, not throwing my toys out of the pram and marching on my insurance company with a baying mob.
  10. And how often do governments keep their pledges? The fact of the matter is, the Tories are in power and if they decide to do something generally it goes through. I don't sympathise with the government, but if everything out of order done deserves a protest then its stupid.
  11. So causing an unnecessary disturbance over increased pay for uni (which is not mandatory) is standing up for your rights? Well I'll be damned. There was me thinking the government were voted in by these very same people. My tax is far higher than I like, in fact my car insurance is extortion, maybe I should take to the streets in protest.
  12. Actually urine is more sterile than any other natural substance, you're just helping him! Students protesting - seriously **** off and get yourselves jobs.
  13. Yeah sad news about the NZ miners. RIP lads.
  14. I was trying to use synonyms to avoid references to fellatio.
  15. Are you being serious Yillan? (Head/Cranium/Noggin if you are)
  16. No problem. And I always admire good facial hair on account of my inability to grow manly face-hair without looking like I'm about 16.
  17. I actually sent a little table to my mate, it totted up Bale's goals and assists and league games, and it showed Bale's goal percentage was mildly higher than Downings but half as many assists! (Albrighton's impact has been statistically better than Bale's as well) I didn't get a sneering message back for once just silence. Van der Vaart? Now thats a quality player.
  18. Gotta say your facial hair is brilliant. And Lady Palmerston and her five friends look good in that.
  19. 1) Around 7th-12th. 2) Good manager, is here to build foundations for a successful future. 3) Yes he already has started to. 4) Bit of both 5) Maybe not inspired, bit a good signing IMO 6) Mostly positives, wish he was a bit richer though 7) It's very good IMO cos we can get a board perspective, and I reckon other clubs should follow suit. 8 ) He'd get you 6th. 9) A great job, except signing Cole, if you hadn't Candleface would have done and never would have signed Van Der Vaart. 10) Reina, Kuyt, Agger 11) Last years only talking points at VP was the blizzard and how you mugged us of 3 points! Expect - anything, it could be a thrilller or dire. Either way i guarantee at least 10 injuries for us. 12) 2-0, Heskey brace....
  20. I hope you weren't bitter about it... no sour grapes?
