We're controlling the came very well with a patient buildup. Breaking only when we beat the press, without taking to many risks. Theres some lovely passing play going on. As I'm writing we "score". I don't get the impatience. The goal is a result of Martínez standing on the ball pulling Palace up the field.

He has improved a lot as a ball playing defender under Emery. I'd say his touch and control of the ball seems to be better as well.

Not as bad as it first looked. Touch from the keeper

Oh get off it. Defender on his back, rounds the keeper and got unlucky with the bounce off the ball as he finished. After a gut busting sprint in the 94th minute. Not going to slag him off for that. Terrible first half though. Improved as he moved out wide. Needs to step up.

Improved as soon as he scored. Very mutch a confidence player. More to come from him.

His hold up play has improved dramatically. Close controll and passing as well. Can't think of any other lone forward I'd have in our starting 11 on current form.

Three players pressing him, doesn't lose the ball. Looks like hes playing on a completely different level than everyone else. Ridiculous.

People seem to miss the part where he drops down, plays one touch under pressure. Doing the work to beat the press and giving the team a chance to counter. He's integral to any change of tempo we have. He moves the ball quickly and direct. Albeit he had a few passes that didn't come off, he played a very important role in todays victory.
