  1. If that were to happen, then it could be Bouma's last appearence for us. I'm in agreement with those who say we should play our strongest team against Blackburn. Players, manager and fans should want to finish as high as possible in the table, especially with an extra month off up for grabs from the rigours of the Europa League, finishing in front of Liverpool and the extra money. It might also be the difference to attract the better player to the club in the summer.
  2. Enjoyed reading your report and much better than the MOTD highlights. As i have stated on the Message Board it has been another nearly season for us, very frustrating, but an exciting one.
  3. Another nearly season that promised so much. We forever seem the serial underachievers with Fergie at the start of each season stating that we could be the surprise package. We never are. We are still not good enough to win anything after spending god knows how much on players and i'm sick and tired of whenever we come up against a decent team that we fail to win important games. League Cup Final, Cup semi and now against Man Shitty who were there for the taking. I actually feel let down by the players and manager who tried so hard, but yet again fell short of what was required. Now we have to wait for next season again, always next season and i hear Fergie yet again making the comment, we will be the surprise package. No surprise here im afraid.
  4. I have seen what could be termed as a UFO. Was walking along what we call at home 'The River Walk' a few years ago when i could enjoy a long walk without pain in the old pegs with a mate of mine and he suddenly stopped talking. I followed his line of sight which was above a row of trees in the distance and we both watched as a white circular object, probably the size of one of those Stealth Bombers traveled across way above the tree line. No sound at all, no flashing lights and no vapour trail. Definately not a plane or a helicopter. Wished i'd brought one of me old camera's with me as i'd never seen anything like it before and nothing like it since. So i'm one of those who firmly believe that there is other life forms out there but always wondered why they haven't shown themselves for a nice cuppa. Probably would create panic in many religious comunitys in the world. Maybe Jesus was one of those aliens who paid us a visit and look what we did to him. Suppose that why they haven't shown themselves yet. The first sign of a miracle and we'd crucify the blighter.
  5. He gave Luke Young a game there - we lost 7-1 Can't believe man you are blaming Luke Young for that defeat.
  6. Ala Liverpool away. If NRC is match fit and firing in training I would consider it (if I were the manager). We need to keep it tight and him 'em on the counter. They're good at home. I fear our midfield will exploited if we play 442. Big game. But then again, our boys are actually getting quite used to big games. Agree with both here really. This is one game where young Martin must get the tactical side right. If we go 4-4-2 then we will get hammered. Coker must come in for this game if anywhere near fit and we must play 4-5-1 with Gab upfront on his own. Can't see it any other way really. Come on you Villa. Two cup finals to go. Win both and a pot of gold awaits at the end of the rainbow.
  7. Thought the game typified our performances this season. Played well for the first 25 minutes and it then all went to pot after that. Couldn't believe the space left in the middle sometimes and if we'd been up against better, we would have paid for it. As it is it was only them down the road so we got the win against the run of play. Freidal was magnifico and needed to be. Gab held the ball up well when he got it but Carew was pretty poor and on that performance, young Martin might just be thinkin about gettin rid at the end of the season. Cuellar should be shot the next time he is seen at RB. Even though the fella got into good positions, his distribution was awful and that is lettin us down big time on the right when most of our play ends up there. Whats wrong with giving Luke Young a game there Young Martin. The manager must be seeing something in training that we don't know about concerning Luke Young, but he has to be better than Cuellar. Thought Warnock again did himself no favours in front of Capello and is obviously struggling for form after injury. His Everton counterpart will now go to the world cup instead. Ashley Young and Downing were also poor and will probably spend the summer on the beach. Not so good for them but better for us as they will get a rest before next season starts. Petrov and Milner again showed that the balance is not right in midfield and we will need new additions there in the summer. Petrov needs replacing with a playmaker to compliment Jimmy. Dunne and Collins were solid, if unspectecular and i would still like to see one or the other trying to take the ball out of defence a bit more to connect with our midfield. Overall a welcome if undeserved win against the blighters down the road and now for Man Shitty.
  8. Well said sir and may your extended knowledge of the English language continue to grace this site concerning the blighters down the road.
  9. All relax please. We are going to win and win comfortably. Just get behind the team and they will do the rest.
  10. A big well done to the lads. Actually thought we'd drop points tonight but we were a class above anything Hull could muster. Now for Sunday.
  11. Way to go dude , keep up the good work! :winkold: The only thing is that me garden is looking rather bare now. :winkold:
  12. Up the wrong 'un, acording to Rob's Law Usin trap two now and again, especially when trap one is growing tomatoes, never hurt anyone.
  13. In my day ya got nowhere without being romantic. So i'd always tell me girls that i loved them, even after a first date. Seemed to work.
  14. I sent flowers to a place of work but it was someone else's missus as a thankyou.
  15. Some decent players there who would definetly improve our squad but none would actually replace Young and Milner so IMO would put us in a worse position. Yeah, good point, but we have Albrighton comin through and Downing could play on the left. Thats my thinkin anyway. So a team of.. Freidal Richards Dunne Cuellar Warnock Albrighton Boateng(Portsmouth) Ireland Downing Berbatov Gabby with Petrov and Big John to come on as first change with also Fonzy and Delph(when fit) behind them would give us good options. Can't see the likes of Coker, Luke Young, Heskey, Beye and Sidwell stayin if they aren't gettin a game, so we'll probably need one or two more signings in the summer as well. I suppose it really depends on if we are playin in Europe next season, which might make a difference to those players stayin or not.
  16. Depending on where we finish at the end of the season, we could see both Young and Milner leavin. If that was the case, would like to see Richards in for our right back spot and Ireland as a creative force in midfield. No to Bellamy as he is injuried too much, but with the sales of Young and young Jimmy, we would have the money for a bid for Berbatov who i think would be a good signing. Boateng would be another good signing, so i don't think losing both Young and Milner would be a disaster.
  17. We should go with the same side that played against the Ports, other than Downing, who should be replaced with Albrighton and Petrov to be replaced by Coker. I would keep the Fonz on the bench until big John tires and then bring him on to partner Gab after about sixty minutes. This will be a tough game and we will have to play better than against the Ports. Would love the win, but Hull have quality in the middle with Bullard who will give Petrov, if played, a tough time, so could be another nail biter.
  18. Watched the game on Sky and thought i'd got the wrong channel. Thought i was watchin one of them Charity games that you see from time to time. Couldn't believe our players were strollin around the pitch like they were already on holidays. Someone should remind them that the fans pay good money in these hard times to watch them play. Really was disgusted at there lack of urgency, with fourth place still up for grabs. We got the win, but the Ports gave us so much space to play in and we struggled to take advantage. Downing played one cross field pass that was good but that was it and i hope he plays better next season than this, or we have another Heskey on are hands. Young couldn't beat a 17 years old full back and had another stinker in front of Capello. Collins looking to the heavens for some help described his performance and Warnocks passing was all askew. Petrov was mr sideways as usual and although Milner tried his bloody heart out, was mainly inaffective. Gab did alright and big John took his goal well, but missed one or two chances that me missus would have stuck away. Sorry Harry. Great to see young fonzy gettin a goal and he and Gab might just save us a few pennies in the future. If we play like this against the lads down the road, then we are in for a long afternoon, but hopefully the tradition of the derby, will see us playin a bit better. We will sure need to.
  19. Its a pity you can't understand what hes sayin with a packet of razor blades in his mouth.
  20. Shutter Island is a good movie, with a terrific twist at the end. Go see it.
  21. Time to give some of our boys a rest, but the same side will play as against Everton. Would like to see Guzan Young Davies Collins Warnock Albrighton Coker Delph Sidwell Young Gabby Should be enough to beat the Ports and give our first team a rest.
  22. Not surprised at the performance from the team. Wev'e bin playin this way since Young Martin has been our manager.
