  1. Just got back. What a game! I know we drew but it always feels like a win when you snatch a late equalizer. I think it was pretty cocky of the Palace fans to sing "We're going to Wembley" before the final whistle. Oh well, we got the last laugh. Let's thrash them in the replay!
  2. I looked on Google maps and while Thornton Heath and Norwood Junction are roughly the same distance from the ground, Thornton Heath isn't as far along the line as Norwood Junction and it's nearer to the car park where we need to collect the tickets.
  3. Petrov's injured. I agree though, we should still go out there with a fairly strong side. I think MON will do this.
  4. What would be the best station to get off at coming from London Victoria?
  5. We'll be wearing our away kit for this I presume?
  6. Gabby needed a rest anyway. Do not fret fellas, for we have the Fonz.
  7. Not giving a penalty for that "tackle" (more like wrestle) on Carew was such a stupid decision.
  8. I'm hopefully going to this game. Should be an easy win but I'm cautious.
  9. I pretty much agreed with this. Don't know where all this "worst performance ever" stuff is coming from. We played a lot worse against Spuds. so we were even worse against spurs makes tonight good??? actually i would say that when you are at home, against ten men, with both of their first choice central defenders out and you dont force their keeper into making a save for an hour qualifies as being pretty poor. they are the champions i know, but that doesnt mean we cant have a go at them. the result is acceptable - no one really is going to argue with that. the list of what was wrong with the performance could go on for volumes though. other than the back four maybe one of you two could point out a single positive to come out of the game regarding any of the other seven outfielders who played tonight - i exclude delph because he did enough to at least be spared a roasting. the fact that collins ran 60 yards then had to stop and cuellar was chasing down their keeper in the 92nd minute was fairly indicative of the rest of the teams performance. I never said it made us look good tonight, but we've had worse games this season. To be fair I'm just happy we're out of the tough fixtures for pretty much the rest of the season.

  11. All things considered, I think it's been an ok night. We should've won it but United are a very good side. It was only towards the end of the game where we started to try and push for a winner. Very pleased by Delph's performance though. I expect we'll be seeing a lot more of him. Anyway, we're 2 points off 4th place with a game in hand. Cheer up!
  12. I dont think the Villa fans are intentionally upsetting him but I would have thought that constantly reminding him of the worse day of his life isn't going to make him happy. Personally I think it is in poor taste. What exactly are they saying?
  13. 90-100%! I don't care about his few flaws, every manager has them. What he's done for this team is remarkable.
  14. Dunne = Best defender in the PL at least Tonight will be kind of like a demonstration of the "unstoppable force hitting an immovable object" paradox. If the universe starts to tear itself apart, don't say I didn't warn you.
  15. Before December how long was it before we'd beaten them at OT? Records are there to be broken.
  16. If Manure lose tonight Fergie will undoubtedly blame the ref for not giving 20 minutes injury time.
  17. I've always thought a glory hunter was somebody who supports a team and then switches allegiance to one of the "big 4" when things aren't going so well.
  18. That's the spirit. World cup is miles away anyway.
  19. I live in Kent. Would it be easier to simply drive to Crystal Palace rather than getting the train?
  20. My local team would be a London club. Am I a glory hunter? Yes. Simple as. What? I think if I was a glory hunter Aston Villa would be one of the last teams I'd support. Supporting Aston Villa wasn't even my own choice anyway. My step dad's always supported them (he liked the colours apparently) and I came home from school one day (this must've been about 12 years ago) and he'd got me a Villa shirt. That's how it started. Couldn't imagine supporting any other team now though. I've never supported anyone else - only the Villa.

  22. Maybe Carew will find his form again soon? He's been out injured for a while don't forget.
