Saw it earlier. Completely agree with your assessment (especially about S.Sweeney being excellent). Very atmospheric and unsettling and they managed to land the ending which is always nice.
SpoilerThat last couple of minutes...**** me

It's...ok i suppose.
i agree with many of the reviews that mention the film throws way too many characters and half realised storylines into the mix. I think if you're a fan of the franchise (I am) then you'll be entertained for most part (it's certainly never boring) but I hope if there's a next movie then it's way more streamlined and concentrates on the new characters.

I'll play it at some point, interested at where they pitch the difficulty, I want another GoT not a nioh / sekuro
It has 3 difficulty settings so you should be OK.

Is it ok if I replace the butter by absorbing all of the juice from the cooking tray into my bread? 'Cause that really enhances the bacon-ness of the sandwich for me rather than hiding it behind the albeit delicious taste of butter, yet without losing any of that precious fat.
This guy gets it.

Gawwwwd, could you imagine. There's actually people that do that you know. Not on here of course, no Villa fan would be so abominable but they really are out there.
Weve done this one a few times on here but Butter or marge on a bacon or sausage sandwich is an absolute no no for me.
Brown sauce or at a push ketchup but anything else is complete anathema around these parts.

Just installing Dragon's Dogma 2. Looks exactly up my street, not a typical RPG and wear appears to be a huge open world. I saw a couple of you guys already playing it so might be back later for hints and tips!
Only put an hour or two into it so far, but its good (and as punishing as the OG) so far.

That's the thing Mike.
GoT at its height transcended modern culture. It was the ultimate 'water cooler' tv show and millions were that invested in it.
What those two did was an absolute travesty and I can completely understand anyone's distrust of them.

Both high on my list @BOF
Particularly looking forward to Late Night with the Devil. Love a bit of David Dastmalchian.

To be fair, I've come across plenty of these in my previous life as a designer.
It's the difference between a 'written' version of the name and a graphical logo - there's plenty of companies that have done this. Off the top of my head - Amazon (amazon in the logo), Adidas (likewise) and Facebook.
Perfect for this thread though

Dragon's dogma 2 reviews are very positive.
Colour me (even more) excited.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, unsurprisingly, has reviewed like a ghost turd.
Yep, seems its not a patch on Afterlife which I really enjoyed.
Still going to see it at the weekend though

I am very curious to see how Dragon's Dogma 2 fairs in the mainstream.
There is a lot of hype around a game that a lot of people didn't play when it first came around, and I'm curious how many people know what they're in for.
Dragon's Dogma 1 is one of my all time favourite games so I am 100% down to get punished hard by the second game, but I feel like the trailers are showing all the cool shit and none of stuff that people may dislike.
I hope people love it though because Dragon's Dogma 2 is the closest we'll get to a true 90's style RPG in 2024. If people liked how hands off Elden Ring was then Dragon's Dogma 2 is even more hands off.
Love the first one and it sounds like it's going to be similar but with more polish.
If they don't **** around too much with the og's vibe then I'll be a happy pawn.

Got my Pre-Order for Dragons Dogma 2 sorted for Friday.
From the bits and pieces of previews I've seen, it looks like potential GOTY material.

Really good fun.
Plenty of the usual Coen story, character and visual flourishes, and one of the funniest movies I've seen for a long time.
Recommended.

I've recently started another playthrough in preparation for the dlc. My original character is about level 400 and on NG++++ and as the designers have recommended an NG character for the dlc, I think he might be overlevelled

It's one of the best games of all time. Hopefully you'll have a blast. If you need any pointers, just let me know.

Got all my equipment and lunch ready for my weekly trip to the office tomorrow, then when chatting to a colleague via Teams, they very helpfully pointed out that I'd booked the day off to give myself an extra long BH weekend.
Yes, I'm a forgetful bugger but it was a nice surprise
