  1. One of my biggest regrets is selling my Gibson SG and Les Paul when I packed in playing live many years ago.

The money was nice (and needed) at the time but they were both so lovely to play 😐

I like a good turn based RPG, or turn based strategy. It's not a dirty mechanic.

Have you played Lost Eidolons? If not, I would definitely check it out.

  3. Doom is a really interesting piece of casting.

On one hand I'd like to see a more seasoned older actor with the requisite amount of gravitas and measured menace. On the other hand a younger, more deranged, unbalanced Doom would be perfect for some of the superb new talent we have knocking about at the moment.

Maybe even someone who could successfully straddle both groups like the excellent Sam Claflin. He'd absolutely smash it out the park imo.

    How much?!?!?

jeez - I was expecting £80-£100 so have registered but doubt I’ll get any for that much.

Still got my ticket from when I saw them at Edwards No8 many years ago. Think it was £6 😁

I'm on him now in NG+ (working on the Plat)

Finally got the Lies of P Plat today so now I'm gonna try a few different games on my list and see what sticks.

I'm leaning towards giving Baldurs Gate 3 another go as I've only played a few hours so far and I keep hearing how fantastic it is.

  7. I thought Four was a cracking return to form but after that I've been disappointed.

As for Silent Alarm, it's still an album that gets a regular airing - it's utterly superb with zero filler. I think the drumming alone on that album is worth a listen, it's flawless.

If you've never seen Swans, you have no concept of what loud really is

I have seen them (yep they're indeed loud) however, High on Fire at the Academy 2 in Brum a few years ago managed to turn everything up to 11 and remain my gig volume kings.

As some of you know , I ended up in A & E on New Year’s Day ..

I ended  up back in hospital again about a fortnight  ago , similar episode to the previous time , heart all over the place , fainting , shortness of breath , diarrhoea , vomiting , limbs aching , feel so tired I can barely stand up but equally sleep seems impossible

Spent another 14 hours in A&E , they couldn’t find anything wrong , with my heart , blood , urine etc , eventually after being on a drip everything  calmed down and  I went home again

they’ve put it down to severe  Gastroenteritis both times , but I’m not sure if that is the hospital equivalent of no fault found tbh.

Today I had another “episode” .. haven’t bothered with A&E  as I really don’t want to burden what is already an over crowded  area , felt like shit again , heart rate spiked up to 140 hands were shaking , felt exhausted , puked 4 times , after a few hours it’s settled down and I feel fine again

but , I really really need to get to the bottom of this … Doctors are suggesting I wear  a heart trace for 72 hours , personally I don’t think it’s my heart but I’m happy to rule everything out , if they ever actually get it setup

but I’m wondering  if some form of wellness check can get to the bottom of what it might be , anyone ever had one done privately and an in-depth one ?

Blimey Tone, hope you get it sorted soon.

Had the standard wellness check when I hit the 50 mark a couple of years ago but it was pretty standard.

**edit** the heart trace is a good idea though. Even just to tick it off the list.

Saw Jonathan Glazer's new one The Zone of Interest and it was an ordeal. A great and horrifying film. Don't think I've ever been in a cinema so quiet with not a peep from anyone during the whole thing.

That's gone on my list cheers. I like some of Glazers work and I still mention the beach scene in Under the Skin as one of most troubling things ever committed to film.

I’m 7 months clean and sober today ladies and gentlemen. Currently at the gym listening to good music after watching a Villa win last night.  Chilled day ahead watching some horse racing , life is good but it wasn’t 7 months ago.

    Superb stuff mate.
