He's also a complete and utter tit who will only buy first pressings of records
Yeah well, I love him and would love to spend an evening talking about movies with him. Ive never met anyone who out-geeks me on movies, but i reckon he'd manage it

Was he being ironic?
Aren’t his films basically comic book style
No.
They are frequently stylised around different genres (often using multiple genres in one movie), but I wouldn't say that they are comic book style in style tbh (maybe elements of Kill Bill?)
He does love a cool soundtrack though and let's face it, he does it very well.

Picked up one of my favourites of the 80s 'Video Nasties' on Blu ray recently...
Not to be confused with the iconic 1957 Tourneur horror, this is schlocky, ott gory, ridiculous nonsense which is played totally straight by the cast (making it even funnier).
Utterly daft and I love it

Next while later I played the new Idles album, the first Idles album I've been interested in as the rantyness has been toned down and with Nigel Godrich in the producer's chair, its a much different more pastoral version of the band, much more my thing.
Utilitarian black vinyl for me, none of your fancy glow in the dark zeotrope nonsense
This has been on heavy rotation and it's right up there with their best work for me.

One of my biggest regrets is selling my Gibson SG and Les Paul when I packed in playing live many years ago.
The money was nice (and needed) at the time but they were both so lovely to play

I like a good turn based RPG, or turn based strategy. It's not a dirty mechanic.
Have you played Lost Eidolons? If not, I would definitely check it out.

Doom is a really interesting piece of casting.
On one hand I'd like to see a more seasoned older actor with the requisite amount of gravitas and measured menace. On the other hand a younger, more deranged, unbalanced Doom would be perfect for some of the superb new talent we have knocking about at the moment.
Maybe even someone who could successfully straddle both groups like the excellent Sam Claflin. He'd absolutely smash it out the park imo.

Tales of Arise is a really good game.
That's a decent line up tbf.

How much?!?!?
jeez - I was expecting £80-£100 so have registered but doubt I’ll get any for that much.
Still got my ticket from when I saw them at Edwards No8 many years ago. Think it was £6

He's a word removed.
He's not a 'hilarious' word removed. He's just a word removed.

I'm on him now in NG+ (working on the Plat)
Finally got the Lies of P Plat today so now I'm gonna try a few different games on my list and see what sticks.
I'm leaning towards giving Baldurs Gate 3 another go as I've only played a few hours so far and I keep hearing how fantastic it is.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Terrific cast with Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley both on brilliant form.
