If you took the time to watch that O'Sullivan break you'd see what a talent he is, every shot, every nudge, every bit of spin was PERFECT and in the shortest time possible. Just because he isn't personally perfect doesn't mean he isn't fantastically skilled at what he does, that's why I don't think any sportsman is at his level, on his day he in a league of his own. In all other sports there are people who are the best ever for now, however I feel he is the best that will ever play snooker because you cannot get any better

If snooker isn't in your opinion a sport I'd say Federer. He is basically an artist with his hand-eye co-ordination, I feel priviliged to have watched him. But if snooker is classed as a sport, I have never seen skill on a level and shown on a simplicity that O'Sullivan has shown it and I doubt I ever will

They are both Parlour Games, they are in exactly the same league as you put it If you have played both there is a huge difference in skill required. In snooker you need break building, potting and defence. Each of these skills require a subset of skills too.

I don't think I have ever seen anyone with the natural ability in any sport as I have with O'Sullivan, there are so many people trying to get at the top of that sport and he is a level above all of them, phenomenal to me. Snooker now is a big sport across Europe and Asia that there is a big participation base, you'd expect someone to get near him I think you should look up Max Woosnam, he even has a 147 to his name, won Wimbledon, captained the England football team...
