Not really a big sitcom fan, but...
Father Ted
Cheers
Frasier
That's about it.

Now of course, I AM an old man, and I'll wear a hat if necessary for weather protection - a panama/fedora style if it's a VERY hot and sunny day, and a warm beanie style if it gets really cold. But it's never for image reasons. And certainly no baseball hats.
I have bought a baseball hat.

What I often ask myself, are they words removed and so get attracted to the Tory party or are they initially quite normal but then turn into words removed after being in the Tory party for a period of time?
The old biddy who was asked for the five grand to pay The Bad People:
QuoteShe said her family had been loyal Conservatives for generations.
"The party has been part of my life, I've run every election campaign here for 40 years.
"I work myself into the ground for the party - all they hear is a 78-year-old little old lady."
She added: "I am not having this brushed under the carpet."
"The party has let me down. I have said; my faith in the party is like my faith in God... they've let me down.
"I watch people go for a walk in this quiet area. Do I want them to go out and vote for a man who gets himself locked up and needs money to get him out? No."

The nuns simply destroyed numerous "immoral" pieces of artwork containing nudity.
On that subject (and this could equally have gone in the Books or Religion threads), this is well worth a read:

Just started Ripley. Looks promising, particularly the b&w cinematography, which gives it a very 'period authentic' look.

I had a health checkup earlier this week, and my heart was declared to be in tip top condition. Which was just as well, as that game was pure stress-fest.
I didn't have a drink during the game, but you can believe I'm doing serious damage to a bottle of scotch right now.
Another chapter written in the legend of Dibu Martinez.

Has Ollie touched the ball in this match?

Emi still timewasting. Might end up with Olsen on pens if we're not careful.

Somebody should suggest to the ref that he's allowed to book himself and then send himself off.

Its not jealousy, its laughing at them.
They are a circus. Always have been, always will be.
We are in Europe, in the top 4 of the PL, have a world class manager, a beautiful stadium, a huge fan base and a decorated past.
Why the f*** would we be jealous of that lot?

That does rather beg the question, who was Jan Berry?

“You learn something new every day even after six decades” corner.
If you know Neil Young, one of his best albums is called “Tonight’s The Night “.
The title track is about people he knew dying of drug addiction and the first line of the song goes:
”Bruce Berry was a workin’ man
he used to love that Econoline van”.
Bruce had checked out after a heroin overdose and was one of Neil’s roadies.
I only just read that Bruce was in fact the brother of Jan Berry.
Maybe one for the boring thread
I didn't know that. Definitely QI for the likes of you and me.
EDIT: But wasn't it load that Econoline van?

The usual suspects who are extremely vocal on Palestine are deathly silent on Russia.
We've always been told that Russia are The Bad Guys, so it's only what we expect from them.
But we've also been told for years that Israel are The Good Guys.
A hard habit to break, apparently.
