An Air Lingus flight was found to have something suspicious on board and forced to land at Birmingham - passengers were evacuated, plane surrounded by police, airport closed and the bomb squad boarded.

False alarm - nothing that would go bang.

Back in the 1980s, my wife's office was evacuated when a mysterious parcel arrived from Ireland, exhibiting greasy patches and a slight smell of almonds (both apparently signs of certain plastic explosives). The bomb squad were called, and a controlled explosion carried out in the car park.

    Turkish delight everywhere.

Do you not think the manager has had them practicing penalties for weeks? He seems to plan for everything else so I expect he knows the order already.

He's actually mentioned having to prepare for penalties in his interviews, so yes.

David Cameron believes Rishi Sunak is the “Unai Emery” of politics.

Speaking to LBC on Monday 15 April, the foreign secretary likened the prime minister to the Aston Villa manager following a 2-0 upset win against Arsenal.

Host Nick Ferrari initially compared Mr Sunak to Erik ten Hag, before Lord Cameron offered a different comparison.

“I prefer to point to the example of Unai Emery for Villa yesterday, who looked like they were on a losing run against Arsenal and then in the last few minutes, slotted in two [goals],” he said.

“Anything is possible in football, as in politics.”

More like the Steven Gerrard of politics, I'd say. Out of his depth, full of shit, and heading for the sack.

It's when it doesn't work that those shouts feel justified. Today it worked a treat, but it can go pear - shaped. Nothing wrong with a long ball here and there, it's not like we're averse to that.

And the (very complimentary) MOTD pundits made the point that sometimes we DO go long. We mix it up. I think even Ollie mentioned that the varying tactics is part of Unai's philosophy.

I agree completely. It's why I'm on the side I am. They are collecting the data either way, I'd rather get something out of it.

This is where I'm at. Given that advertising is inevitable, I'd rather see targeted ads for stuff that I'm at least interested in, rather than random tat.

Watching everybody loves Raymond. Now I make be expecting too much of people who have to consistently create situations of conflict...but...

Ray gets a letter from Muhammed Ali puts it in a draw and his wife accidently throws it out. What she immediately does is confide in the mother in law what she did. In reality you deny it to the day you die, nobody knows what you did but you. You never saw the letter, you never threw it out, and over time you convince them into thinking they lost it...like a normal person does, your standard gaslighting.

This should have been a 3 minute episode tops, or a four decade spanning epic.

I've never seen this programme, but I suspect you're overthinking it.

Come on, this is a bit like pissing on your own chips just in case someone was going to piss on them later.

After 65 years as a Villa fan, I've always found it to be a sound policy.

So I haven't watched anything on Prime for ages, whats the adverts like? Is the program interrupted every ten mins?

Tempted to go to the high seas just for this show so my viewing pleasure isn't broken up into ten minute chunks.

You can pay extra to get rid of them.

    Of course.
