maybe the manager was right then.....He seems a different player to me.....Tyrone is playing the football that got him in the England team.
sometimes a shake up, works.
Maybe a word in the Media for Mings performance from Gerrard would have been appreciated.

Who was it? Was it that ex spurs player we got from Swansea… the Swansea player we didn’t want… his name completely escapes me at the moment

Surely Dougie Out

Reckon this means Dougie is off.
He may be but not related to this deal. If he does go it will be because another No 8 is coming in. Gallagher??

Douglas Luiz isn't,never was and never will be a Defensive Holding Midfielder (No6) He's a No 8 and we are crying out for one
Question then Why in McGraths name does Slippy not play him?

Look at Bournemouth yesterday, absolutely hammered by Arsenal on their own patch. We lost to them 3-0!!
I know things are bad but it was only 2-0 not much better I know

Since we've come back up they've largely had the same forward options....conceded 6 in 6 games v them which isn't too bad, just the 3-2 defeat there at end of 20/21 season where we were 2-1 up with about 10 minutes left and lost.
It will be tight game, has a 1-1 feel to me.
Didn't we lose 1-0 there when Jack was booked for diving when he passed to Lansbury who scored right at the end. The ref was not our Friend

Yep football is the nonsense part of my life, I don’t think I act anywhere else in my life like discussing and watching football especially Villa. Can’t imagine every thinking, acting or talking like this in my business life. Don’t think my career would’ve gone far.
I know exactly what you mean, I'm 65 and run a business hopefully making all the right decisions and predictions but when I'm talking Villa well that's a different story!!1

Yes I agree with that but with Digne asked to contribute even more going forward perhaps a more defensive minded LB is in his plans with Digne
playing as more of a wide midfielder. That way maybe McGinn (if he's still there) could maintain his more natural position

Danilo (Central Midfielder - Palmeiras)
Absolutely no chance he will be allowed to leave but this boy is dynamite

Does anyone else think that maybe going by Gerrards comments about Digne being more proactive offensively this season that he may be thinking
of playing him in front of a new Left back. Makes a bit of sense as some of the players being touted are much better than just back ups

So quiet at the moment, no wonder people are restless because we still need 2 maybe 3 first team players and there are no links except to Bale which I am expecting and hoping to be complete bull. I see Manure fans planned to stage a protest at the CEO's house yesterday due to lack of transfer activity, they're similar to Everton fans.
I think we still need four new signings, with 2 or 3 to go into the first team:
CB (sell Hause and maybe even Mings although I know many won't like that)
LB
CM
FW
My picks would be any of the following:
CB (left footed) - Ake, Botman, Lisandro Martinez (the last 2 linked heavily with Newcastle and Arsenal)
LB - Merlin, Gomez or Hickey
CM - Gallagher, Auoar, Koopmeiners, Sangare, Majer
ST - David, Guedes
If the club think we can go into next season with what we currently have, we'll do well to finish top 10 IMO. Those are the type of signings that can push us on to top 7 which is where we need to be next season.
Bit worried about your choice for a striker. I think David Geddis may be past his best now

Agree with that completely, but we did look like a team, finally, against Brentford
