At the expensive of the Conference ? Going to be a serious balancing act. If we are in the mix for top 4 come knock out games does he rest players ?
Will be a nice dilemma to have I guess.
It depends on what you think " Resting players" means. A good squad means more rotation than resting players. That's when whoever plays doesn't weaken the team
I think we are working to that aim. Certainly hope it is. That's the way you can stay competitive in multi competitions

That's just hysterical!! Should be in a padded cell. Perhaps it's Care in the Community why he's out

Noticed on other sides fans sites that they are starting to get very worried about Villa

Where is the plane now?
If you're interested it departed about an hour later to Munich (it's based in Germany)

All planes land at BHX from that side so not really a detour. The direct line over BMH probably wasn't accidental.
It was a standard approach to Runway 15 at BHX No detour involved

There's no flight scheduled to arrive at BHX at 12:15pm today so is it a private flight?
Yes it is a private Citation jet, now just airborne from Valencia

Anyone from the Bundesliga gives me bad vibes. I don't think Diaby would be much different to Bailey.
Oh, believe me, I think he would!!

They can do it in the illustrious destinations of Düsseldorf and Gelsenkirchen , but could they do it on a cold, windy night in Stoke on Trent?
Nobody can do it on a cold Tuesday in Stoke. That is why I'm forever grateful they are not in the Premier league!!!!!

The lack of any action is because we’re going big for the forward positions. Ferran Torres, Harvey Barnes, Gnonto etc all there for the taking and it seems we’re not interested….
Why would you think we are not interested in these players? Just asking!

The chances of Archer or Duran being a top 6 PL level striker really aren’t that high. If we lose Mings we’ve still got Torres, Konsa, and Carlos, if we lose Douglas Luiz we’ve got Tielemans, Kamara etc. Don’t understand why we wouldn’t want that same depth up front.
I actually think Archer has all the attributes to be a top top striker. Could take another year though

I do get the feeling we’re overlooking the fact that we probably need sell a few players to fund new acquisitions. With that being the case, who do we think could fetch decent money? I’m afraid it’s highly unlikely the likes of Nakamba, Chambers and Sanson are going to command big fees so I guess the following might be available?
Bailey
Cash
Digne
Konsa
Buendia
Coutinho
Archer
Carlos
DendonckerIm not advocating selling any of the above as it’s important to have a decent squad, im just not naive to the fact that we need to generate revenue as well as spend it!
Interesting List. I'm sure there's no chance whatsoever that Konsa,Buendia,Archer and Carlos would be sold. There's a decent chance the others could be if bids come in
Konsa and Carlos are the only Right footed Centre halves so can't be sold (They also could feature at RB in Emerys well known system). Archer will be part of the Academy
four that are needed under European rules. Buendia is a solid squad player who will get plenty of playing time.

Only as a last resort if we can't get anyone better before the window ends. I assume by that time he'll have already found another club, but he might keep his options open until the end of the window too.
If we get someone better than Zaha we'll have got ourselves one hell of a player

city seemed to cope just fine chopping and changing the defence every week
You can do that when you have a choice of top class defenders. We now have Konsa,Mings, Carlos & Torres and it doesn't get beeter than that anywhere in the Prem

Imagine Mings getting injured for 3 months in September and needing to rotate Chambers, Carlos and Konsa in the premier league, europe and domestic cups until the new year.
At last, some sense!! If we are to get to where we all want to go a top quality SQUAD is needed not just a top quality team. There will be injuries, suspensions, loss of form etc which
all have to be factored in. We can never have enough quality players

I was talking to Matt Kendrick last year at a Cornwall Lions do in Camborne. I asked him about transfer rumours, how they get about and who in the press world can be trusted regarding solid information.
He told me most of the rumours are borne from Agents pushing for transfers or new deals for their clients or Clubs who want rid of surplus players. These turn into headlines on Social media or newspapers
but in reality have absolutely no substance to them regarding the supposed interested clubs. As far as Villa are concerned Matt said that they play their cards very close and any rumours certainly do not come from them. He said that the only reporter who has any real close ties to the club is John Percy and if he reports something then it most probably has legs.

Would you be able to choose Man City's best 11? It would probably depend on who they were playing
Maybe it will be the same for us!!
