    If Smith is right in saying he wants a striker with Prem experience I can only think of Benteke on loan at the end of the window when Palace have no other choice. I'm pretty sure we ARE in for Bowen, again late in the window I would think. A holding mid is vital too. I'd love Nzonzi but apparantly has family in London and would prefer Wet Spam We'll see

    We can't go back to a back 4 with the type of Fullbacks we have. They get too far forward and the centre halves then get pulled apart trying to cover them opening up loads of space for opponents attackers. It just won't work

    We simply can't choose nothing. That is not an option. We have to stay up for all sorts of reasons we are all aware of. The players mentioned may not be your taste but we have to sign players or we will not survive

    I didn't propose the players in the first place. As someone posted they would be better than the nothing that we have available at the moment. There is no way we will get want we really want in a January window when we are where we are!

    Nyland Good enough as No.2 Reina should see this position is OK Guilbert Should be OK as wingback with 3 at the back Elmohamody OK as back up Konsa, Engels, Mings, Hause, Choose 3 from these plus possibly Vida Targett As Guilbert, Taylor not good enough for Prem Hourihane, Nakamba, Jota almost certainly not good enough Drinkwater Miles off match fitness not really fair on him today we'll see Luiz Young and will get better but out of his comfort zone at this level Trezuguet Jury out , fast, but must keep the ball better, looks a threat though Jack Enough said but desparately needs help El Ghazi Not good enough at this level We miss McGinn most, Needed now 2 x CF , Bowen, Vida, Central midfielder Then we will stay up no problem UTV

    There's reports that we've ruled out signing Benteke, probably because he's not fit. Nothing has changed because of today's result, we were always going to lose heavily against City. We still need 2 CF 1 WingeR 1 DM We'll have to wait a bit longer but the Brighton & Watford games are vital so i hope there are a couple of arrivals before then

    Probably bacause he's the best chance we've got of signing a decent centre forward!!

    I think it would be almost impossible in January to sign a centre forward who would be our first choice for years to come. What we need all over the park now are stop gaps. The time for proper planning is the summer depending on which division we are in. For now just trying to stay in the PL is our aim without compromising our future. For this reason Benteke on loan is a no brainer for me
