Liverpool are going to become a bigger car crash than they are now. Every season the owners don't get CL football they chalk up another £30m into the "lost revenue" pile. In ten years time I can only imagine they'll be blaming everyone under the sun for being £300m short and realising that football is rarely going to make you rich (I think only the Glazers are likely to walk away from the PL with more than they started with). If we, as a club, are waiting for their cast-offs then god help us.

What has Lennon done in his managerial career apart from win the league in a season where the only other team who can possibly win it went bankrupt? He also spends more time banned from the touchline than he does on it. No thanks.

AVB would need a lot of convincing judging by the noises coming out of the press. Saying that, perhaps those noises are being made with the intention of Villa approaching him saying "sure, we can provide you that set-up". Liverpool fans would have less patience than AVB would need, and the dressing room has some characters just as rooted in the club's fabric as Chelsea does.

I had Ken McNaught sitting in my living room a couple of months back organising a game against the Villa Old Starts (this sunday by the way) and he said when Villa played Bayern in 82 the game was pretty much brick up the goals and try n nick it 1-0 - in his own words...... so on that basis above, we can wipe off the Euro 82 win because we didnt "play mesmerically" that all fans seem to want nowadays........... I dont care for tip tap football..... everyone wants to play like Arsenal, Barca and for some god-forsaken reason, Swansea........ and what is the sumtotal of all that - THEYVE ALL WON SWEET FA THIS SEASON........ Id much rather play like Chelsea and win the Champs League - and if anyone else thinks otherwise, then IMO theyre frankly deluded ! No, my point was that if RDM tried tactics like with WITH OUR CURRENT SQUAD we'd get massacred. He's pretty much lumped with the current squad so a new manager can bring in a few new signings and dictate the style of play. No matter who the manager is, if his aim is to defend the other team to death then we're quite honestly screwed. Did you watch us last season? Alternatively we can get all the 82 squad out of retirement?

Listen, this RDM thing. He didn't win the CL final, Bayern Munich lost it. They defended the Germans to the point of boredom and used a get out of jail free card for an equaliser, and then another one as Robben fluffed his lines in extra time. Bayern had 55% of the posession, 21 out of 34 shots on target and 20 corners. If RDM had been managing our team in that match we'd have lost about 8-0. Should RL/PF think that RDM's "achievements" make him a good managerial candidate for us they've quite frankly lost the plot.

A Huddersfield fan just messaged me asking what time we'd like him to drop Grayson off at VP. I'm right enjoying today. I hope we get someone who's never managed in the English leagues before.
