The Villa On Tour podcast (an offshoot of the Vlog) with Max Stokes and Simon Lines is quite good. I would recommend it.
Weirdly never liked Max Stokes heard him as a guest on a few shows, no reason why, just don’t like listening to him.

The typical Moyes signing. Just like when he wanted to sign Lingaard permanently. Rubbish over rated English international? Give Moyes a call.
Lingard had done really well on loan though, that wouldn’t have been a bad perm signing.

Even in the remote chance that we do move away from VP, I v any imagine they would go out to Tamworth, it’s meant to be easier to get to. Tamworth would be a nightmare

Are there any circumstances where a Mings, Pau, Konsa back three could work next season? ( Pau central - Ming's Left, Konsa Right )
Pau with a little license to get further forward, and Mings/Konsa closing the gap as a central two when he does so?
I’d actually say if we had a back 3, Mkngs would be central and Pau left, as he passes would be more effective there. He could still step out with the ball. But I think we would still play Moreno, and lose one of the cms

Have to say the level of detail Jacob Tanswell puts in his articles around our tactics is exceptional. It’s really refreshing to read something by someone who has not only watched the game but pays attention to the little things going on.

Borthwick is not the answer to making England a dominant force in world rugby - the third place at the World Cup is a complete misdirection in how we play rugby but has gifted him more time in the hot seat than his brand deserves.
Not saying I disagree with any that you’ve said, and playing devils advocate, but SA have won the last 2 world cups playing the same way. They just have a bigger stronger pack to support the plan.
I think with Ollie Lawrence coming back in, we should have more grunt which will help, but yes Ireland will be miles ahead of us. Scotland will win, but I think we can ruffle them, and France well they could self implode or destroy us.- 1

Hard to disagree really. He isn't the most exciting manager, but they're currently 8th having been in Europe for the last 3 seasons including winning a trophy last season. I appreciate they don't play very exciting football, but what are they expecting as a fanbase? If they care for results/league place then presumably the style of football won't matter too much as it's a results-driven thing, which they seem to be getting on the whole. If they want to play Duh West Aaaam Way then they'll be less concerned with results, because the style supercedes them.
If they want to play super sexy swashbuckling football and be top 4/6 then they are supporting the wrong London team.
Moyes saved them from relegation, left, then came back and did it again and then took them into Europe, midtable, won a trophy and now has them in 8th. Those inbreds should be worrying he hasnt signed a new contract, not that he's still their manager.
Hopefully he leaves and they appoint some self-styled student of the game and it's an absolute **** disaster and they end up struggling and have to sell Kudus, Bowen and anyone else who is decent. That'll teach them.
But it’s not the West Ham way

Let him go and take his circus to Saudi. He’s a great player but the way his previous contracts have been and the power away he has leave a nasty taste for me. Not been good enough to lift PSG to European success.

This is not meant as a criticism of you @MrBlack, more of a general observation, but I do think greater media literacy has to some extent come at the expense of being charitable in how we interpret what people say. I don't really think anything he says in this ~20 seconds or so is factually wrong, or even that controversial.
I like Davies comes across really well and is always respectful of Villa when asked, even if towards the end it didn’t work out well for him here.

Talking of Asian players on the revenue thread...
Would Mitoma at Brighton be a realistic option if we make CL?
He's 26 so a bit older than I thought but took the prem by storm last year. This season been more injury disrupted.
Brighton already got his replacement in Adingra so think they'll cash in this summer.
Brighton would want £100m, that’s how they operate . Think we would look for better value out there

He's never forgiven us for sacking the best manager on world football and replacing him with an okay average manager and were benefitting from the Scouse geniuses groundwork as the players let him down and wouldn't look him in the eye.
I don’t buy the Gerrard theory. He was a moron and never complimented us before that.

Went to see Moulin Rouge at the theatre yesterday. It was incredible such a good show.
Topped off by going to Hawksmoor after (which totally through out my diet)

Can you believe Julian Joachim sits there just below Dean Saunders.
Watkins could go down as one of our best strikers of all time.
On Joachim it always amazes me he’s so up on our scorers, I always think of him as some bit part player.
On Watkins, it goes Yorke, Benteke, Ollie for me.

Can I ask, what makes the fantastic four so good? I’ve seen the previous films (which I know have been criticised), but I’ve never found the characters that interesting, especially Reed, who just comes across as obnoxious

I remember people laughing at Spurs when they had to play 4 full backs, looks like it’s our turn. No point feeling sorry for ourselves, we’ll just have to get on with it.
We don’t have 4 fullbacks though

I’d be f’in annoyed if we allowed Coca Cola to have a meeting with Ratcliffe at VP.
If it is for us, shirt sponsor? , you’d expect they’d be paying big bucks for that, but knowing our luck the PL would stop advertising sugary drinks -
PIF now looking to buy out Roma. I wonder if they will be allowed to play in same competition, or release some of the ownership like we had to with Vitoria

Barry was still playing pretty well at premier league when he was 37-38 and that was no accident as think he gave up drinking when he was 20 after some incident we found out about.
I don’t think he did, he just went under the radar

So low on confidence atm. Start of season he was placing his shots into the corners. His shot today was shocking.
I reckon next year he’ll be quality. But needs some tuning up- 1

I drive to most games, unless having a few drinks. My friend wanted a couple of drinks today so contemplated getting the train. Only to find how bad Sunday service is. Last train from Moor St to Shirley was at 6:30, meaning that if I wanted to get that I’d have to leave the game early. So of course I drove. So the point I’m making is even if it gets easier around the ground, WM travel have to change as well, which may be harder to go.
