Brighton just want the season to end now. Form collapsed now and they were playing a couple of kids today so a very good time in the season to play them. And our record v them since coming up in 2019 is sensational, think it's only one defeat in 11 games so we're in their heads anyway.

We all know Old Villa would absolutely lose in these circumstances. Let’s hope Emery’s boys are different

  2. You’d expect Spurs to beat Shef U and Burnley. So 6 points there.
The Liverpool game is huge, who which Liverpool turn up that day (although we know when we play them they’ll get their form back).
I think if we beat Brighton and Palace it’s ours, but I’d prefer it not to go down to last week, as if city have won the title by then they’ll be on the piss by the time they face spurs.

The schedule. I don't think they'd cope well with an additional 17 games in Europe.

I think we probably want the likes of Tottenham, Man U, Chelsea, Newcastle etc to play a lot of europa and conference league football.

I get that, but then the longer they are out of Europe the less money they make and sponsors will soon drop. Already have to sell players this year to be online with PSR

Emi is saving both them strikes. But then that’s why he’s the best in the world.

Fair play to Olsen for saving the one on one.

I really don’t think he is. And let’s be honest the first of not scored is a penalty

  5. Was shocking today, couldn’t hold the ball up, barely made the runs, and then missed a chance at the end. Hope the 20 goals thought  isn’t affecting him

    No, we wouldn't.

We have already spent nearly £50m on a player and we weren’t in Champions League. Football player prices are rising, I’m not saying immediately, but in a few years time we would have to spend £100m on a player.

I’d hope Villa will never be a club that pays £100m (or the inflation equivalent in the future) on a player, despite how big we ever get.

No way we can think like that. If we are in champions league for a couple of seasons and really challenging, we would be spending that much.

He isn't even Rijkarrd, never mind Beckenbauer. He would struggle to get in the top 20 of best Dutch centre  - halves.

He’s overrated yes, but must be in top 20 Dutch cbs

We were told his legs had gone by some when we signed him.

9 months into the season and he’s just gone 90-120-90 in consecutive games in a week. And been good to brilliant in all of them

When he signed there was a podcast with a Leicester fan who said the more minutes he plays and consequently, the better Youri becomes. It’s when he’s rotated out he gets worse. I think we starting to see that, he just keeps growing and growing as a player for us

  10. Tactics spot on today. He switched it up a little, going a little more direct knowing how tired the players would be.
I thought we could make a few subs earlier, but suppose the Brentford capitulation was still on his mind

  11. Grew into the game, worked so hard for the team, was integral in the equaliser tracking back and stopping the attack, then was key in the other goals as well.

  12. Was quality today, his speed and acceleration on the half turn is immense. He scared Bournemouth at times. He’s growing into the role Emery wants of him. Ramsey will struggle to get back into the side.
