The perfect outcome. Tuesday night before the derby, a fairly ‘strong’ team, 1-1 at full time after they went ahead, then taken into extra time only for them to get beat 3-1 (the current score). All in front of an almost-empty sty. Bring on Sunday!

    Edit: 4-1 LOLLL11

It’s a good outcome as they have started 3 or 4 first team players but they have rested the majority of the first team so I don’t see it having too much of an effect on Sunday really

Yes and did you see the goals they were 'given?'

Read on sha forum some of their fans embarassed by the second half no show.

Yes I seen the goals no doubt they were fortunate but you cannot say their form in the last 8 games is ‘luck.’

On your point about the second half I also seen the interview with Cotterill where he basically said he instructed them to just keep possession and not over exert themselves as they have a big week ahead but personally I do agree that playing against 9 I’d be annoyed if villa didn’t go for more.

  3. I think the majority of football fans just have so much hatred towards their local rivals that they cannot be honest, while I want to batter them in our derby games apart from that I have no problem admitting they have a mid table squad, honesty makes football better to discuss imo. People saying we will beat them easily then blues will hit poor form again and go down is just wishful thinking not rational, I personally think we will beat them but it will be a close game and SHA will carry on with their recent more stable form and stay up comfortably, they have a better squad then a lot of teams in the bottom half, just being honest.

I was thinking the same, how can they go from utter tripe to then having this run of results?

I think Redknapp left a mess there albeit signed some quality players but over last few months Cotterill has got them a lot fitter and a more settled side, to be honest with the squad they have they shouldn’t be near the bottom anyway, just hope we beat them next week as it’s looking a trickier fixture now

Of course you could be right, but I don't think this is logical yet. They needed to win last night, it wasn't really a luxury. And even counting their two goals last night, they're still scoring barely more than one goal every two games. A long way to go.

I think blues main chance of going down was their negative soft underbelly mentality which they seem to be slowly overcoming that’s why I think they will stay up as they have a midtable squad.

  6. With the bottom teams winning I think alot more teams will get pulled into it than just the 4 teams people keep mentioning. I actually think forest, reading, Hull, QPR, Millwall and Barnsley will also be dragged into it if they don’t pick up form. This is why I think blues will stay up because people won’t say it as we are rivals but they have a half decent squad and will get enough points IMO.

I think they will get jammy as they on paper have better squad than Barnsley burton and bolton. Although if Barnsleys new owners are ambitious and spend...

It must be so demoralizing for blose they finally pick up a wi and tge sides aroubd them all pick up points too!

They may have a stronger squad on paper but they ain’t playing well and the teams around them seem to have more goals in them then blues. I know what your saying about teams around them won also but I still think they will gain a little confidence from beating a team in 5th, keeps them in touch with safety and it pulls other teams towards the bottom.

Need to win some away games. They'll run out of home games as only have ten left.

They still have to go to Preston, Bristol,Wolves, Cardiff, Sheff Weds, Brentford and us so going to have to pull some more shock away results.

I know the gap is only 3 points but likes of Bolton and Sunderland are stringing together good runs now so the points tally to stay up is going up all the time.

It’s looking very tough at the bottom this year in championship, really tough to call who will go down, I think Burton will for sure though there squads not strong enough. Others could be any out of Blues, Bolton, Sunderland, Hull, Barnsley, QPR Maybe even more will get dragged in.

I think teams may need over 45 points to stay up as the championship standard is getting higher each season.

I think cotterill be gone by new year. Already fans turning on him.

apparently they are angry because Cotterill blanked the 4K fans at the end if the game yesterday:crylaugh:

Tbf as much as I hate SHA if he blanked 4,000 away fans who still follow them and travelled down in this weather when they have scored 3 goals in 11 games is poor and silly decision by the manager as those fans will all turn on him now, I think he’ll be gone soon, I thought it was a poor appointment and I hope he stays as hell certainly take them down lol

How did that work for them at QPR?

You'd expect Wolves to win comfortably if they get an early goal.

Draw wouldn't surprise me though. SHA are decent at home.

Yeah I know what you mean mate it’s just I can see wolves scoring a few at sha and sha can manage 1 goal at best but I do agree they are ok at home but I think wolves will have too much for them
