Does anyone think Jack Woodward has always been a great commentator at Villa? I honestly like listening to him although I haven't so far this season as we've been on TV. I like the way he shows his passion for Villa on and off the mic, particularly when he was commentating on the Watford game last season (2-1 win) when Konsa/Mings goal went in and Woodward went ballistic. I am just asking for opinions as I thought I'd create this subject.

If Nakamba plays = clean sheet. thought he did well at Leeds on Saturday. Anwar El Ghazi was on at Leeds so if he’s like it again Sheff U I think we could do well at Sheff U.

I would want to see Sanson start but I don't think he'll start. I really don't think Barkley will get dropped so certainly start. I think it'll be another 4-2-3-1 formation because Smith likes to go with that. As usual, Douglas Luiz covering the mid with Trezeguet possibly. I also wouldn't mind seeing Marvelous Nakamba in the lineup because I remember seeing him come on at Wolves this season and he didn't do that bad. Prediction: It'll be a hard game but I am going bold here and going to go 0-1 to us Ollie Watkins.

I totally agree with you on that one. I think he has good mentality in the attacking front. The only thing is though would Dean Smith start him straight away or could he be on the bench?

Give Sanon a start instead of Barkley.

I have always liked Wesley and what a player he was up until his injury at Burnley last year. He is my favourite player even though he’s been injured. I think he’s a great guy on and off the pitch. I have just read an article from Birmingham Live https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/aston-villa-already-considering-replacing-19910912 and Gabby Agbonlahor feels Watkins should have bit more of a hand upfront (that’s where we’re missing Wesley) and Davis has sort been the backup alongside Watkins. There’s been some games where Watkins has been alone upfront. Skipping to the end of the article, it said if Wesley fails to impress, we could get rid of him.

I think Barkley has an attitude problem (I could be wrong though) no wonder why he doesn’t like being taken off.

Barkley has been quite average so far at the moment. Would Tuchel want him back at Chelsea? Probably not. I really thought Grealish and Barkley would be a very good duo together. Hmm..... He hasn’t been great, I only watched him jog around v Leicester on Sunday and didn’t do a lot. I genuinely thought he’d be a great loan signing for us but he is seeming quite bad at the moment. Smith said in an interview he’d rather play the same side out every game and keep playing Barkley. I’d rather see what Morgan Sanon is like if he starts. Likewise for Smith, if he keeps playing the same side out, he knows how good/bad his players are.

I am not too sure about this one, Leeds thumped Southampton 3-0 the other day and were playing well. We didn’t do that great 1st half against Leicester on Sunday having went 0-2 down at HT. We looked all over the place and this is what I was expecting without Grealish. If he’s out again against Leeds I’m afraid we could do badly again but I could be wrong. The thing is with us, I think we rely too much on Grealish and I probably do think we need to get some more really good players to strengthen the side. However, we’ve had such a good start to the season maybe could finish in a Europa spot but who knows..........
